Long video but last week we got steps! And today ( I forgot to video) I rode her in the arena and got a trot both directions. She was pretty scared so I took a few steps as a win and no bucking 🙌🏼 very proud of briar and how far she has come mentally.
Alrighty the wait is over! Everyone meet Chili our newest addition to the breeding program. She is an 18yr old AQHA mare who’s been a broodmare and amazing momma most her life. And the best part? She’s pregnant 🙌🏼
Chili was said to be scared and not the most friendly horse. We’ve had her 1 week and she’s a different horse. She loves people and tries to follow us everywhere.
I do not plan to train her under saddle, and if she foals out well we (business partner and I) will breed her back again. Chili is bred to a relative of our other mare Cinders - whom we love, especially how well she’s doing under saddle with us.
I can’t wait for what’s to come!
Just in case you want to know what it’s like to trot 😂
Briar Rose 🙌🏼 she learned the pick up trick last week and today I pushed her a little and had her do it with the saddle on. She was a little nervous but she is learning to think before reacting. And you can see after some reassurance she understands what I’m asking. This is a mare you have to listen to and watch for blow up, and bolting signs. Previous lot that has been her answer for things she doesn’t like, and both are very dangerous if not handled correctly. It’s been amazing to see her change in the 2 weeks I’ve had her already. The saddle really doesn’t bug her at all, she’s accepting weight on both sides and getting used to my schenanigains 😂
I am so proud of this mare 🥰 she went from being this crazy wild, timid and just scared of life horse to training kiddos as young as 7yrs old. Love her and Ronen of course, and I’m so glad they are thriving in their lease home.
Would you believe me if I told you pepper used to be very scared of tarps? 😂 after this video she walked over the tarp many more times and played with it too 🙌🏼 it’s amazing to see her confidence grow
Peppermint has been doing great! Multiple handlers/riders. This is my intern riding her. She’s figuring out how to work in the arena and she also had her owner out on her today. Pepper was really good for her. They are going to be great! Next steps are going through water and on more trails, as that’s what she’ll be used for.
This mare 😍 she’s been doing really well. Cinders is learning how to be a stall horse and being okay with alone time. She moves so nice under saddle.
Dakota the gentle giant 🥰
New sheep? Nope that’s just Dutton 😂

I’ve officially had this guy for 3 weeks and he is doing amazing! He got his feet done, has been meeting the new horses, turned out to pasture, letting others catch him. Halter free now too. He love, love, loves scratches and asks everyone for them. He’s also standing so well being tied.
*
You wouldn’t believe me if I said he was pretty wild when I got him. He’s almost a new horse 🙌🏼
*
Moving forward this week he will start learning the basics of ground work, and I will start ponying him around different places.
Phoenix update:
She has found her home! She leaves on Monday to return to her first adopter. I can’t be happier for her and her old/new person. She will have a forever home with her 🥰. While Phoenix was with me for the 2 weeks she learned the following:
*
* To be caught by anyone in different places: her stall, arena, round pen.
* To walk over bridges
* Lead through scary things (the barn aisle, water, tractor marks)
* Move with the gate
* Being respectful on the ground - she was already super good at this
* Disengage her hind quarters
* Lunge and face me
* To stand tied
* Being led by others
* Leading at liberty
* Used to horses riding by her
* Picking her front feet
* Petting and brushing her all over, haltered and at liberty
* Walking up and down hills
* Walk over poles
* Eat out of a hay bag (it was hard the first day 😂)
Phoenix ‘standing’ tied today 😂 she stood after some time and enjoyed a thorough brushing.
This mare has come soooooo far! My first few lesson with her were working on her rearing problem. And just the last time I stepped up on her she was rearing again - she is a 4yr old and they do tend to try that out 😂 today she gave me walk and trot under saddle with little to no complaints. 1 step closer to being a solid riding horse 🙌🏼
Here’s the full video on one of my client horses! She loves those scratches. This is part of what I do for my evaluation to see where the horse is at in training.
Here’s Sam showing off what he’s been learning! Sam didn’t know how to canter on a lung-line when he came and today this is how he did with it. He is still a little lazy but not bad at all, he moves so nice. Sam also learned the different cues with the whip today and that the whip is not used to scare or abuse him, rather as a training tool.
