I’m Kathy Corneau Dog trainer and Owner offering a unique one of a kind in home dog training boot camp I created. A combination of the many modalities of my learning and studies with Master Trainers and Great Trainers through the years around the world. It’s value is rich in dog psychology, police boot camp and the importance of proper leash pressure as well as commands Sit, Down, Place, Stay, Come and the use of proper marker words No and Good! I call myself a bridge as I teach the owners alongside the dogs of how to truly read and communicate with their dog moment by moment. I use tools with the utmost respect and owners who put in the work and who’s dog lines up with them should be off leash on all these in the house 1st showing a big respect to the owner and then tested outside with larger distractions and trail work for efficient recall long leash 1st. Also I teach low level e~collar work after boot camp for those who like the idea of still having a tool to help their dog make the right decision. Again this is low level just like everything else I teach I like to whisper.. so the dog has to lean in to adjust to hear me. I use the mini educator which goes from 1-100 I train dogs on 1 most of the time and up to 3 if they have a racy mind in the home yet will dial down to 1 or 2 as a goal. On my bare wrist I can barely feel it on 10. It amazes me they can feel the 1 yet they do so I respect that. I compound all our previous work with the e~collar for a seamless transition and trust building.
My goal is to teach the owners as well as the dog I like to say I’m going to fill your brain everyday so that at the end you just use the learning and live it. I find I become a transformer everything is usually at a very different place when we are at the end of our month and my clients have so many tools in the tool box like verbal commands and leash conversations that are so simple like a little tap on the shoulder. They have confidence have shed some anxiety if they had some so many things happen. I like to teach the owner how to make sure the dog knows “I GOT YOU. DON’T WORRY I GOT YOU.” no matter the breed, no matter the drive, the issues it all comes down to TRUST and the I GOT YOU as much as it looks different for the fearful to building confidence or the dominant dog learning to follow those words lead to the same thing........ TRUST ME... I GOT YOU. xo Kathy Corneau
