Hi fellow farm people. We hope you're doing well. 💜
We're launching our nonprofit at Pink Friday events in Corydon on Sunday to raise funds for the 501c3 filing. And tomorrow our little delight, Rocko, will be visiting nursing homes. 🐐 We can't wait to bring smiles to people by sharing some goatie love. In the photo is Poppi and one of her babies! We have 6 goats currently and have room for intakes if you know of any farm babies in need. 🐄 🐑

Buggy's Barn has officially downsized. We sold all we're going to sell and the keepers are Poppy, Penny, Cindy, Auggie, and Jeffrey. It's been a heartbreaking couple weeks, but we feel they all went to friendly and brighter pastures. The farm will be for sale in about a year - watch our reno progress on this page as we continue to give this 1905 historic beauty a facelift. 💜

We lost Buggy.

He passed Sunday and it's taken a bit to get myself together for this post.

Buggy (aka Phineas) was our first of many experiences. We took him in as a baby - shortly after learning we couldn't have children. I thought my husband was crazy to get a goat, but I finally agreed. And Buggy came into our lives to help us heal.

We were so moved by the positive impact he gifted us, that we sold off life in the suburbs and started the farm, Buggy's Barn.

Buggy led the herd as King humbly and loving (most times, lol) until his end of watch at 4:57pm February 6th 2022.

It's my hope and prayer I'll be reunited with him in another life.
Life will not be right without him.

We are picking up his remains today; he's been cremated.

In his remembrance, there will be a scholarship fund setup at Purdue University to encourage more ruminant specialists. A nearby experienced vet could've saved him. Please pass on the word to anyone interested in this type of education!
