Hey ya’ll!

While our Coloring Contest Fundraiser was a very cute and out-of-the-box idea, it was not a fruitful one…pivot…

Now, we have until June 28th to fundraise our goal of $1,500 so we are going with a tried and true method - comfy shirts!

We have received a pledge from Modern Woodmen of America. They will match our fundraiser up to $1,500! This is such a generous and potentially helpful offer of donation - will you guys please help us achieve our goal?

Our goal is to sell 100 items!

Details for merch is attached. Any questions please message the page. To order, please message the page. Payments can be accepted via PayPal, Venmo, cash or check. Please let us know what payment method and item(s) you’re interested in when you message us.

For reference:

A 50lb bag of feed equates to roughly $12. The animals here eat 2-3 bags of feed each day!

A bale of hay is roughly $6. The animals here eat 5-6 bales of hay each day.

By purchasing a shirt, you can help feed the farm critters!

1 short sleeved shirt = 1 bag of feed or 2 bales of hay.

So frustrated that we have to make this post.

We, along with many others, were contracted at an event recently… at event conclusion, we were not paid. Many of us put money into said event beforehand to make it as awesome and fun as possible for the public!

There are a couple of positives that came from this:
-Some lasting connections were made
-Our artwork was showcased
-We’ve been invited to some events at the same location (under different management
of course).

However, we are out quite a good bit of money.
While we pursue the next course of action regarding this situation, we sure could use your help!

The best way to help is to join our current fundraiser. Color Me Happy…Misfits! Coloring Contest Fundraiser (pinned at top of page) The farm will receive up to $1,500 match from Modern Woodmen of America, but we have to get entries before June 15th.

Even if you don’t want to color, you can still enter to support the cause.

Other ideas for the coloring contest include, but are not limited to:

-Parent/Child bonding activity
-Wine and color get-together with your buds
-Sunday school activity
-Homeschool activity
-Senior citizen center activity
-Literally anything because coloring is fun!!

Starting today and running through June 15th is our Color Me Happy…Misfits! Coloring Contest Fundraiser!

How to enter:
Email us your proof of payment (see attached forms of payment) and your age category. We will email you the coloring sheet for your age group and all relevant info!
If you’re local, Mean Mug Coffee Company (the two Salisbury locations) is sponsoring us for this fundraiser. They will serve as an in-person pickup/dropoff location for entries! Cash payments can be made at these locations as well.

We are in need of volunteers for our upcoming event. If you can help us out for a morning, afternoon or full day, please let us know asap!!

Volunteers will mainly be helping man the carnival games and activities, handing out prizes/animal feed, etc.

Volunteers will receive free entry into the festival to enjoy the festivities after their shift. The critters and our crew greatly appreciate anyone who has time to help! 16+ and reliable.

May is a busy month for Happy Misfits!

We have a special fundraiser which will be running from May 15-June 15 (details will drop May 15)!

Also, we will be participating in an amazing event at Rowan County Fairgrounds - Neverland North Carolina - May 24-25 as the The Petting Zoo & Menagerie Coordinators. Several of our resident Happy Misfits will be in attendance expecting lots of pets and treats (of course 💁🏼‍♀️).

We will also have in attendance:

Savvy Scales- reptiles, education, special photos 🐍🦎🦖

Haystack Homestead (in support of Serendipity Farm Sanctuary)- pony rides, petting zoo 🐴🐮

It's A Zoo Life - Exotic Animals, interactions, Special showtimes at 12pm & 5pm 🦥🦘🐢🦜

Udder Chaos Barnyard Carnival- Games, prizes🎯🎳🎲🏆🤑

Heaps of photo ops!

While we will be focused on the animal side of things at the event, there is so much more to explore at Neverland North Carolina Festival! The best part is that Become The Change Promotions is dedicated to “doing the most good for as many people as possible.”
