Farm Spotlight - January 2025

Meet our Isaac 🐐
Isaac is one special goat. We like to think he was God sent.

He's just over 2 yrs old and has blessed us since when he was 3-4 weeks.
He was sent to an auction shortly after birth because he is blind.
A special person felt a tug and saved him from the auction but then couldn't handle his extra needs.

That's when we felt we were so special and a part of the plan all along. He arrived at Happy Misfits, and we all fell in love.
You see, he's a charmer.

ISAAC cannot see but raises his head to sniff and can tell his way around that way. Also recognizes us this way.
When he raises his head in recognization of his name or just your smell... you will swear he is smiling. He knows his name as well.

Upon arrival as a baby, he lived in the house with us - diapered and spoiled rotten.

He was so sweet, but also sad because he needed a goat friend. He would actually cry from loneliness.
So, we got him a friend- Reid. He stopped crying and has been a happy guy since.

While there are thousands of worthy non-profits who would all benefit from your donations, we hope that you may also consider our organization, Happy Misfits Farm Sanctuary, Inc.

We are a 501(c)3 organization whose sole goal is to provide neglected, elderly, and special needs farm animals a soft place to land. From the moment they begin their lives in our care, they are with us for the remainder of their life, however short or long that may be. We provide all the basic necessities to keep them safe and healthy (feed, hay, medications, enrichment, etc.) We even provide care during life-threatening and emergency situations (medications, trips to the vet, site visits from professionals, etc.)

We wouldn’t trade our position in this life. We are grateful for the animals that we have been able to rescue, and we are hopeful that we will be able to rescue more in the future. We are grateful for the people that we have met through this farm, and, also, for the relationships that we have formed and nurtured throughout the years.

At least 90% of our operating budget is funded by our own personal finances. We have over 80 “children” here on our farm, and we love and care for each and every single one of them. One-time, monthly, quarterly and/or occasional giving helps us keep our farm fully operational. We promise you that your donations will not go unnoticed, both by us and our animals.

Meet T.J. - sweet little guy who was surrendered to us a couple days ago by a lovely family who cared about him a lot. He’s very curious and loves to explore! He’s also coming around to being petted and loved on…as long as we have treats!

Great news, everyone-
At this time we have raised enough to rescue “Quasi” and will be bringing him here to his new home!

We will be arranging pickup and prepping for his arrival over the next couple days and will most definitely take pics and video of his freedom ride to share with you all!

You guys rock!

As of 8pm today we have raised $343 towards “Quasi’s” rescue. Thanks to you guys we’re over halfway there!

Only need $307 more and we can bring that baby home! We have two days to do it. Will provide another update tomorrow for those of you who want to follow along with his journey

Y’all,

This is a call to arms! There is a weanling c**t (baby boy) horse who is in serious danger of being sent to slaughter.
We are prepared to bring him here and give him a safe and loving life. We need help to raise funds to go and pick him up! Even $5 is a huge help! They’ve nicknamed him Quasimodo for obvious reasons. He was stepped on at birth which has caused his deformity. That’s all we know. To me he also looks like he could use some groceries.

If you can, please help by sending through one of our donation methods. Include “Quasi” in the note/description. If we’re able to save him we will give him a more respectful name.
