Did you know? 🐴 Horses have been by our side for over 3,000 years, with evidence suggesting their domestication may go back as far as 6,000—or even 10,000—years! These majestic animals have been loyal partners through history, and today, they continue to make a difference in our Equine-Assisted Programs at Horses Healing Hearts. 💙

Horses Healing Hearts, Inc. Announces "Photos with Santa" Holiday Fundraiser

Join Us for Photos with Santa & Stall Decorating Contest https://www.hhh-inc.org/photoswithhoho a festive holiday fundraising event designed to unite the community in support of Equine-Assisted Services. This family-friendly event will feature a holiday photo session with Santa, share your gift list, a stall decorating contest, a bake sale, and more—all while raising funds for a great cause!

Event Details:
- Sunday: Photos with Santa (10 AM - 4 PM)
- Location: Horses Healing Hearts Farm located at Lazy J Ranch, 49 Seabrook Road, Salisbury MA 01952
- Cost: $20 per child for a scheduled 5-minute photo session with Santa

The event will be hosted at the Lazy J Ranch, the photo shoot with Santa will take place in the ranch's newly erected round pen, which will be transformed into a festive photo studio complete with Santa, a holiday wagon, and more. Children will have the opportunity to meet Santa, share their gift lists, and capture the moment with a photo.

In addition to the photo sessions, a Stall Decorating Contest will take place on Saturday, featuring local youth groups, students from the Horses Healing Hearts programs, and other interested community members. Participants will decorate stalls to be displayed and voted on by Sunday’s attending guests and a panel of judges. Prizes will be awarded to the most creative, festive, and detailed designs.

The event will also feature a bake sale and refreshments with hot chocolate, cider, and homemade treats available for purchase. Attendees can browse a variety of holiday merchandise, including decorated Horses Healing Hearts HOPE Horse Shoes, wreaths, T-shirts, and more, with all proceeds to support Horses Healing Hearts 2025 programming and general fund.

Remember, taking care of your mind is just as important as casting your vote! Here are a few ways to stay centered:

✨ Take a break from the news – constant updates can be overwhelming. Give yourself permission to check in only occasionally or take a total break.

👫 Reach out to friends or family – talking with loved ones can ground us, offering comfort and perspective. Plus, chatting about something lighthearted can be a great mental refresh!

🐴 Spend time with pets or horses – animals have a way of calming our nerves and bringing us back to the present. A cuddle or a stroll can work wonders for our mood.

🧘 Focus on what you can control – from deep breathing to a favorite hobby, centering on small, intentional actions can help us feel balanced.

Today’s all about steady, mindful steps. Let’s keep calm, stay present, and focus on what brings us peace. And remember—no matter what, we’ll always have the love of our horses to ground us.
