I can’t believe this guy is still looking for a 🏠! He’s so beautiful to me! He is going to have a big, blocky head (I think, there’s really no way to tell unless you breed for a blocky head) he is so sweet and cuddly. Two chances to get the man of your dreams ladies! You’ll never find one more faithful, protective or loving!
Bachelor number one is wearing a yellow collar that blends beautifully with his golden and shiny coat. He loves belly rubs, pets behind the ears (we’ve found that if you pet in the right spot behind the ears, they’re putty in your hands) and he loves to sleep in your arms and he could sleep through a tornado.
Bachelor number two is wearing a lovely hunter green collar that goes beautifully with his red tinged coat (I think both will be on the redder side and did you know that red is the rarest color for a Golden Retriever?) he loves belly rubs and is an active little fella. He’s active but will fall asleep so fast!

These four love their nightly runs when the temperature drops. We are as entertained watching them as they are to be outside. We put an old fishpond out there a while ago hoping they would play in it during the day. Today Ruth took the plunge, literally and it seemed to give her super powers of speed. She’ll jump in turn around, jump out and run circles around it and repeat the process. I couldn’t capture it because she’s so darn fast! This is a still from the security camera so the image isn’t the best.

We make sure every puppy gets one on one time with children. We have great built in volunteers. Having our puppies’families ready is our top priority. We take theirs and your family’s safety seriously. This also helps the puppies with confidence and bravery which is so important for their growth. We take the time every day to play with these babies both human and puppy.

I had to borrow my homemade dog treat molds for the gummy bears that were a delicious opportunity for the Lolly to teach the grandkids about chemical reactions that turn liquids into solids. I’m a science nerd.
Anyway, it’s about time to make the homemade puppy treats that along with registration papers, a toy with the smell of momma and our house to comfort them as they adjust to their new home, and a canvas tote bag as a going home gift.

We had pick day today and every single family got the puppy they’ve been eyeing! That never happens but it shows how beautiful these babies are! We only have three more boys. Green collar, yellow collar and orange collar are all so beautiful!

We’re MaggieJames/Whiskey’s Golden Retrievers and we’re four weeks old today! We all gained at least a pound this week. We’re still getting walking down pat but we can bark and play with each other and we began immersive play and had all sorts of noise going on in the background. They even got the crop duster noises. I never saw it but it was loud. We’re working on our confidence and are even coming to me for their ENS. They’re precious and I know I say this a lot but it’s true. The first pictures are the girl my son’s family kept and I just found that adorable pick. She is a MaggieJames/Whiskey baby too! We only have three male spots left! Message us for details!

Y’all we only have three male spots left. They are so cuddly and sweet tempered. Their ENS is working so well that they start the movements as soon as I pick them up. Remember, ENS jumpstarts their neurological and endocrine systems, this is what sets us apart from run of the mill breeders and it is vital to make sure they’re confident and brave. You want them to be brave. As I was talking to a friend who got one of our babies, she told me her other dogs are afraid of every sound but Golden from us was 💣 proof. They need to feel safe that they can count on their human to protect them. Please message us for details on these brave souls.

We’re MaggieJames/Whiskey’s AKC registered Golden Retrievers and we’re three weeks old. We’ve learned a bunch of new things this week. We’re barking and moving around this week, as well as 10 puppies whose bellies are kind of perma stuck to the ground at the moment, can. We are vocal and oh boy, do we love being held! This coming week will bring many exciting things! We’ll get another round of dewormer, we’ll get to sniff around some puppy food, the children can begin holding us, with extreme grandparental supervision. We will have pick day next week too. Lots of exciting changes are happening!! Only four male spots remain! Message us for details!

These babies are so adorable! They’re so chunky. They all weighed three pounds last week and that may seem small but it’s not. They’ve gained a pound a week. When they get to real food they’re going to be even bigger! I took this video because this little guy was talking to us and these noises are the ones that get me. It’s just precious!

We’re MaggieJames/Whiskey’s litter and we’re two weeks old. This week brought many changes. Our eyes are open but we still have a little unfocused wonky eye going on. We found our voices this week and we have the cutest puppy sounds. We had our first round of Panacur and we did not like it. Trevor says it tastes bad and Strongid tastes good but in the Summer we need a bit stronger dose because of flies and mosquitoes. We have 7 male spots open.

I want to go a bit into what you don’t necessarily want in picking out a puppy but it’s one of the most important things to look for. It is confidence. A confident puppy is easier to train, is trustworthy and will have the best possible outcome as an adult. This is something we strive to achieve for every single puppy we have. We know a confident puppy is a safe puppy. Puppies, like babies, have to be brave to keep evolving into adulthood. We start within a few days with early neuro stimulation. It’s a series of movements I do to get their neurological and endocrine systems firing on all cylinders. This teaches them to be calm and pay attention to demands. In a few weeks we introduce them to all kinds of noises they can expect to hear in a normal household. Last litter, we even got them used to airplanes with the crop duster that I swear looks like he’s going to hit our house. We also under a flight path and I can’t figure out if it’s Memphis or Columbus Air Force Base but we hear planes flying above all the time.
We introduce them to children usually at two weeks old with constant adult supervision. They aren’t allowed to hold them until they are at least four weeks old. Most of our puppies go to families with small children and we want to get them used to children because it is so important that they’re safe for and around kids.
We raise confident puppies and we are very proud of that. (Little hands that couldn’t keep their hands off the babies during picture time because they’re so cute)

We’re MaggieJames and Whiskey’s Golden Retrievers and we’re one week old today! We’ve begun ENS training and doing so well. We’re all little chunks. Two girls and eight boys. Girls are spoken for tentatively, I will know by this evening hopefully.

Where would we be without our parents? Parent Appreciation Day will be bittersweet for me as it will make me miss my Daddy who we lost last December. However, we need to shout out to our puppy parents and that’s just pure sweetness! Pictures are not in order. 😁

I’m finding new “national …day” but here’s a good one. It’s National Ice Cream Day! Who doesn’t love ice cream? Drive your favorite Dogeared Trading Golden Retriever and get to sonic air Starbucks and get a pup cup to celebrate! Make sure it’s just whipped cream and nothing ending in “ol” because those are toxic to puppers! This fella deserves a treat 🍨🍦🍨🍦🍨 🍦
