Marley has been bred. Now we wait…whether she is pregnant or not, we want to ensure she continues to receive all the vitamins and minerals a pregnant dog would need to support the presumption of pregnancy. She is showing signs of pregnancy, but we can’t be sure yet.

She is increasing her food intake and has some morning sickness. She is on week one and has some mucus plug discharge and lethargy. But as we all know these behaviors/symptoms could be due to the fact that her hormone levels have changed and her body could always absorb the fetuses up to and until 44 days of pregnancy🤞

The following recipe is one that she loves and gives her a lot of energy and provides strong nutrition ❤️

In addition to my daily special recipe, Marley also receives up to 8 cups of dry Purina Pro Plan adult and pro sport with active probiotics Bacillus coagulans 30. I mix these two because one has more fat and I use it as a weight gainer/maintainer.

A little bit about probiotics and this breed…this is just a hunch, but I think maybe probiotics could be helping prevent bloat. The term “probiotics” refers to these gastrointestinal-dwelling microbes (bacteria and yeasts) that are beneficial to pet health. These friendly microbes aid in the digestion of food, fight off potential disease, make nutrients and vitamins and bolster the immune system. Probiotics help reduce gas produced from digestion.

Sardine and Flaxseed Scrambler

Sardines are loaded with nutrients like Omega-3s, vitamins D and B12, amino acids, and coenzyme Q10. By adding sardines to Marley’s regular meals once a week we can support develop muscles and other connective tissue, boost their immune system, increase dental health, and protect against kidney disease.

Scrambled Egg in Extra virgin olive oil is an excellent source of monounsaturated fats, antioxidants, and omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids. The eggs are rich in protein, but aside from that eggs are also a good source of linoleic acid and fat-soluble vitamins like Vitamin A.

The numerous health benefits of olive oil are well documented. This delicious superfood has been reported to help with everything from reducing the risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease to improving joint mobility and blood vessel health.

Flaxseed is filled with Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. These fatty acids will help keep her coat shiny and skin healthy. Flaxseed also contains alpha-linolenic acid, which is known for its anti-inflammatory properties - which can give hr an immune system boost! (Thank you Google)

I’m addition to my meat processing, I save my chickens eggs each week and about every two weeks I throw them in the food processor and add them to the dogs food. In addition to calcium and protein, eggshells also contain small amounts of other minerals, including strontium, fluoride, magnesium and selenium. Just like calcium, these minerals may play a role in bone health ❤️🧡💛
