Hello everyone!
I am Tammie and I am the proud owner of Zalo Groom, formerly Wiskee River.
Zalo Groom is a luxury mobile dog grooming company that specializes in providing top-notch grooming services to dogs of all breeds and sizes. I have always been a pup enthusiast, and my passion for animals led me to start this business.
I was shadowing my mother while she groomed and even had hands-on experience by age 16 (with careful supervision of course!) and I’ve continued to hone my skills over the years.
I am married to the love of my life and we are expecting another addition to our family come March of this year.
We also have two rescue pups of our own named Rhea and Athena. We love going on adventures and while they may not be on the level of Frodo Baggins, the girls absolutely love them! They also love taking the occasional beach trip so they can play in the water, but nothing can beat our evening snuggle time on the couch!
I have 7 years of experience in the dog grooming industry, and I strive to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and trends to ensure that our services are always the best.
I have an amazing team of highly trained and experienced groomers that are dedicated to making your furry friends look and feel their best.

Your furry friends coat is filled with wonders. 🐶🐾

Countless stories can be told from your pups fur. The texture, growth pattern, and the type of fur can tell all that the dog needs. Your pups fur has multiple layers (topcoat, undercoat, & whiskers) that can vary in thickness and texture. There are single-coated pups like poodles and there are double-coated dogs, such as German sheperds. Each type Of coat requires different types of maintenance to keep it healthy (ask your groomer what you can do at home for your pup!)

Your pups fur can also tell you if it has any allergies or predisposed disorders. Dryness or loss of hair is an indicator of an allergy of some sorts. Certain breed colors, such as Merle coloring, can also be indicators of blindness or deafness.

Other fun facts regarding your pups fur are:

1 Bathing your dog on a regular basis can keep the coat healthy and light (but there is such thing as over bathing so learn about your pups breed!)

2 Double-coated dogs shed more often (or seem to shed more often) than single-coated dogs due to their undercoat shedding throughout the seasons!

3. Nutrition is a BIG part of keeping your pups fur looking silky smooth! Watch their diet and see what works Best for your pup! ❤️🐶

Puppy cuts are common, but still may not be common enough.

Many pet owners may not think that their pups need to start the grooming experience for their pups at such a young age, but at around 8-10 weeks is the PERFECT time to get your pups groomed!
At this age, your pup is easier to acclimate to the environment because they are prone to learning and training. This will help them when they are older so that the grooming experience is not as stressful!

Taking the time. 🥰🐾

Groomers must take their time and get to know the new dog. Checking every part of their body to make sure there aren’t any sensitive areas. Introduce the equipment and move slowly because the groomer won’t know if they are used to the environment or not.

Our groomers make sure to take the extra time to get your pups used to everything in this new environment. Making sure they are comfortable and not overly anxious.

Our pets can stress too.

Anxiety is an obstacle for many pups during the grooming process. The noises, smells, and an unfamiliar person can all be things that trigger those special pups that have had negative experiences in grooming or any other similar environments.🐶

Creating a warm, welcoming environment for every pup that comes into our mobile units will bring pups and owners comfort during the grooming process. Mobile grooming is a one-on-one experience for your pup that will allow them to fell safe, they will never be alone. ❤
