We had the pleasure of pampering Hudson at our Spa yesterday! 🫧🧼

Hudson has quite the story. 🐾

He was adopted from a shelter as a puppy and returned 4 1/2 years later because the family was moving and couldn’t take him with them. He was then adopted again, and returned again years later because the owner could no longer take care of him.

Hudson then waited for TWO YEARS at the Kathleen C Cailloux Humane Society of Kerrville, while the staff cared for him and cheered him on that one day it would be his turn. 🤞

His happily ever after finally arrived after a KENS 5 & Kens5.com viewer saw him featured on “Forgotten Friends!” When Ms. Murphy came to pick Hudson up, he said his farewells and leaped into her car, ready for his Freedom Ride. 🥹His new mom adores him and plans to make up for lost time by giving him the best life ever. 🫶

We were honored to lend Hudson a paw with a full service bath and massage. Our bather, Stephanie, pampered him like a King! 👑

Our other little foster has been adopted!!
🩷Pinky was found scared and confused alongside our other newly adopted pup, Minnie Pearl (aka The Brain). Our big-hearted staff knew they needed help and took them under their wing to foster through God's Dogs Rescue!
🐾After a journey filled with love and care, she has found her pawfect fur-ever family. Her new home is already filled with lots of joy, belly rubs, and endless playtime. What's really neat is that her new Dad's childhood dog's name was Pinky! So it's meant to be and they will be keeping the name. 😍
🥰A huge thank you to everyone who supported and shared Pinky's story. This happy ending is a testament to the power of community and the love we can share with our furry friends.

🐾 Exciting News! 🐾

We're thrilled to announce that our tiniest foster pup, formerly known as The Brain, has found her forever home and is now named Minnie Pearl! 🌟

This tiny pup was found cowering outside our Downtown dog park and was swiftly saved by our caring staff. With the help of God's Dogs Rescue, we were able to get her medical care and adopted!

From her playful antics to her sweet snuggles, Minnie Pearl has captured the hearts of her new family in Virginia! We're so happy to see her embark on this new chapter filled with love, joy, and countless adventures.

Welcome home, Minnie Pearl! 🏡❤️

Jake, formerly known as Drake, was featured on KENS 5 & Kens5.com Forgotten Friends. This handsome boy was found as a stray by Kerr County Animal Services and his owner never showed up to claim him. 🥺 With a lengthy stay at the shelter, he was at risk of euthanasia.

Thanks to his Forgotten Friends feature, he was quickly adopted by a Kens5 viewer! We then had the pleasure of pampering him in our Spa and he was quite the gentleman! A special ARF-out to our staff for helping this good boy feel special. Now he is feeling spiffy with his tie and ready to put his best paw forward with a family that loves him🐾

Meet our two little foster pups, Pinky 🐭 and The Brain! 🧠They are both chihuahua mixes and were found hiding together downtown near our dog park. Our Team leaped into action and brought them to safety and are now fostering them with the amazing help from God's Dogs Rescue. Pinky and The Brain will be available for adoption once they are spayed but are taking applications now. These precious girls are a tiny package of cuties that are oh so loveable! Pinky is the larger pup with the floppy ear and only 12lbs and about 1 year old. The Brain is even smaller weighing in at 10lbs and about 5 months old. We had the honor of pampering Miss May today! 🫧In the spirit of continuing Lucy’s legacy of giving back to pups in need, we partnered with KENS 5 & Kens5.com Forgotten Friends over one year ago. 🙌

Each week, they feature a pup who has spent a lengthy amount of time at a shelter and keeps getting overlooked. ✨62 out of 70✨ have been adopted, and they aren’t giving up on the 8 that are still waiting! Hop on over to their website to see these precious pets ❤️‍🩹

Our Foster Manager, Hannah, has taken on the ulti-mutt challenge!

When Hannah visited Animal Care Services for the big donation drop off on Giving Tuesday, she walked the kennels with the Lucy's Team and crossed paths with a pup in desperate need. There she found Mama Margie, who was extremely pregnant and due any day, had hair loss due to skin issues, kennel cough and noticeably heartbroken. Learning about Margie’s imminent risk of euthanasia, Hannah knew she was destined to give this pup a safe place to give birth surrounded by love. With determination, she was able to secure Margie’s safety and bring her home as a foster.

In the warmth of Hannah’s care, Mama Margie found solace, and as if sensing safety, she gave birth to eight pawfect puppies that very night. With the help of her partner Mark, and two children, they embraced the challenge and have fostered the entire furry family, and what a wonderful eight weeks it has been! Together, they formed a heartwarming tale of resilience, love, and the transformative power of compassion. Mama Margie fits so perfectly into Hannah's family that they have made the decision to adopt her!

Buster Brown has been waiting for his FURever Family for 2 years 🐾 Whoever adopts this sweet boy, Lucy’s Doggy Daycare and Spa will be lending a paw by offering him a free "Glow Up" Day at the Spa, which includes a massage therapy bath and Pawdicure 🫧

Buster loves being around people and would make a great dog to go on a walk with or just relax on the couch and watch a movie.
