Oh 2024….you have been one of the HARDEST years I have experienced BUT I learned so much. I learned how strong I can be, how i can step out of my comfort zone, how I can handle the scary things. I had some of the happiest memories but also had to say goodbye to some horses who hold a special piece of my heart. I got closer with God and learned more about myself🙏🏼 . I met so many new people who are now great friends and branched out onto my own in the equine industry. I saw my horses excel in each ride and worked through regressions in others. I got to swing my leg over some of the coolest horses Ive met and truly pushed myself as a rider. Overall, 2024, you may not be missed but thank you for all you taught me❤️

They say horses are majestic creatures—graceful, powerful, almost magical. But apparently, mine have taken my working at a rehab facility a little too literally.

The kiddos partied a little too hard last week for the holiday. Currently, Dale is working through a small lesion on his Deep Digital Flexor Tendon and Rajah didnt want to be left out and has been dealing with some suspensory soreness. Both have been vetted by the best ( ) and are doing well through recovery - thank the Lord🫶🏼🙌🏼

What started as a fitness journey has shifted into a rehabilitation series, with the goal of bringing them back stronger and healthier than before. It’s not the road I envisioned, but this process is a powerful reminder that progress isn’t always linear—and showing up for them with patience and purpose is what truly matters. After all, horses are horses and will do horsie things🫠

They can’t speak our language, but they speak volumes through their eyes, their movements, and their hearts—if we’re willing to listen. As trainers, it’s our responsibility to bridge that gap, to set aside our own agendas and learn their language.

It’s not about forcing compliance but about building trust, step by step, through patience and empathy. The greatest breakthroughs come not when a horse obeys, but when they willingly choose to connect. It’s in those quiet, wordless moments where we meet them halfway that true understanding is found—and where partnership begins.
