It's flea season y'all! With all this heat and humidity, fleas are in full swing!

Flea infestations on your pets can cause a lot more than just itchy skin, it can also cause them to develop other internal parasites. Keeping your pets on a consistent preventative treatment is your first line of defense. This year, I've chosen to use Bravecto on my dogs. One pill keeps them protected for 3 months.

Dogwater Grooming is officially REOPENING OUR CLIENT LIST!!

New client requirements: must be 40 lbs or under and must live between potranco and culebra, outside of 1604. To best optimise my routing and add as many new clients as possible, I have to stay fairly strict on my service area.

Since I now have an assistant, I am hoping to add some multi dog households, specifically ones that are looking to schedule on Wednesdays and Thursdays!

I am so excited to introduce the newest members of the Dogwater Team, Rayah and her service corgi Luna!

Today was their first day with me and I am absolutely thrilled at how well they both did.

Rayah and Luna will be assisting me most Wednesday and Thursdays moving forward.

Gentle reminder to everyone as we are heading into the winter season and our days are getting shorter. MAKE SURE YOUR DOGS MICROCHIPS ARE UP TO DATE!

Yesterday, I was notified that one of my former foster dogs had been found and was at an animal hospital (she was safe, it's just where they scanned her).

Of course, that meant her current owner had NOT been notified because they have not switched her chip info.

Thankfully, I have his contact information and they were reunited.

✨️ATTENTION ALL CLIENTS✨️

I have big news that affects ALL existing clients.

Until the end of the year, I am closing my client list. In an effort to make sure all of my existing, loyal, amazing clients get the appointments they need through the holiday season, I will be hitting pause on taking any new clients.

Second important update, I am switching to arrival windows moving forward. Again, in an attempt to accommodate as many of my existing clients as I can, having a strict arrival time limits what I am able to do every day. The arrival windows will be reflected in your appointment reminder texts.

This does NOT mean I'll show up whenever I feel like it, for most of you, there won't be much change, this is just to help streamline my days so I can make sure your pups are taken care of and I can still get home to mine 💕

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any concerns about this change and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me ahead of time if you have a schedule restriction so that we can make sure your pup still gets their groom.

I will be communicating with everyone about when I will be arriving as well, so everyone stays in the loop.

I appreciate all of you so much and look forward to having a great holiday season with you.

Thank you so much to everyone who donated to this year's period project! We do not have a final count yet, but last count between the women owned businesses I partnered with was OVER 5,000 PERIOD PRODUCTS! this is going to make a huge difference for the young women of San Antonio who will be receiving access to these products.

On another note, I am currently writing this from the airport. For the first time in 4 years, I am taking a vacation back home to California! I will not be responding to any calls or messages while I am gone, I'll be too busy being a Jedi and saving the galaxy at Disneyland 🤣 business will resume September 4th!

I appreciate you all, can't wait to see everyone when I get back!

Alright y'all, instead of just sharing someone else's post, I decided to get involved! As a woman owned small business in a woman dominated field, I am huge on women supporting women and this is a fantastic opportunity for all of us to support the young women of San Antonio! Period Poverty is a very real thing, that many of us have experienced in our lives. What is period poverty? It's not having appropriate access to menstrual products! And unfortunately, between inflation and shortages, it's become more and more prevalent.

Anyone who provides a donation of period products in the month of August will receive a FREE hempz protective paw balm treatment for their dog during their grooming service! Your dogs paws will feel softer and smell better (maybe less frito feet 😜)

SPRING BRANCH! WE NEED YOUR HELP! my best friends beloved Malinois is missing! Please help find Mako

"Mako jumped my fence at 8:05am this morning from Elk Drive in the Deer River neighborhood off FM 306 in Spring Branch. She was last seen by a neighbor crossing 306 into the woods from Caribou Dr. She is chipped and incredibly friendly, though she is likely very spooked and may not come. Wearing a blue with pink collar with a patch the says MAKO SHARK. Her commands are in German and responds to "Mako, here."

Please keep an eye out for Finn! The other dog was dumped, along with the trailer, but no signs of Finn yet. Happy Father's day to Dogwater's Dad, Tom Cloud !

The original Dogwater Ranch is in Apple Valley, CA est 2001. It's where I grew up and my love of dogs truly blossomed.

For those that don't know, my dad is who did the conversion on my trailer and saved Dogwater Grooming from going under. He called in favors from friends and colleagues to make the Dogwater Grooming Salon what it is today! I am forever grateful for my dad and even though we are half a country away, he's always just a phone call away when I need him.

In his free time, my dad is a gunslinger at Calico Ghost Town and is in the Hall of Fame there, as well as competing (and winning) quick draw competitions.
