❄️ Cold Weather Alert! ❄️

As icy conditions may impact travel, please note that our groomer, Jeanine, may be unable to come in if the roads are unsafe. We have contingency plans in place, but your grooming appointment may need to be rescheduled. We will work with you to get them in to be groomed! check out our sister page Tandem Canines Grooming for updates.

Important Notes:

Water Source: Our kennel uses a well for water. This means we are more susceptible to frozen pipes or pump issues. We prioritize our dogs' needs, ensuring they have access to drinking water before anything else.
Cold-Sensitive Dogs: If your dog is sensitive to the cold, please bring warm clothes for them to wear while staying with us.
Keeping Warm: When temperatures drop below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, we keep kennel doors closed to the outside. We periodically open them to allow dogs to potty, but our focus is on keeping everyone warm and comfortable.

Also new! We now have a washer, dryer AND dishwasher IN THE KENNEL!!!
I got to enjoy a dishwasher with our first owner and it was a must for sterilizing the metal dishes we used to feed with.
The original owner had a spot built at the back of the kennel with the intention of adding the washer and dryer back there but unfortunately he passed away before he could get all his remodeling done. Having these 3 simple items on site makes it much easier for the kennel team to keep all your dog’s blankets and dishes clean. Not to mention they no longer have to haul several baskets of dirty towels and blankets up to the house to wash and dry!
The past 2 months have been a whirlwind of activity with remodeling and computerizing! We would like to thank everyone during this transition period for their support but mostly their patience! More has happened here in the past 2 months than the last 30 years! All to better serve you and your dog’s needs. We sure appreciate you all while we continue to grow!

Next Space Reveal: The New Lobby Layout!
What used to be the desk area is now an open, spacious lobby designed to welcome more families comfortably. Taking down a wall allowed us to reimagine the flow of this space, creating a brighter and more inviting atmosphere.

We’ve also added a new door specifically for our grooming team, ensuring smoother access and better functionality all around. We can’t wait for you to experience it in person—stay tuned for more updates as our transformation continues!

A sweet email received from a guest that stayed with us this past month! Every dog that has an enrichment activity has a report card filled out for the activity, so you can get as much enjoyment out of it as they do.
We switched from paper files to a digital database, and the 'report card' feature is something we've been really excited to have. We're glad to know you like it just as much as we do!
