Yesterday one of our DTE vehicles was involved in an accident. Thankfully all humans and pups are fine, and cars can be repaired or replaced. This highlights why we always recommend having your dogs kenneled when in the car. Utilizing car kennels can protect your pup from worse injuries, or escaping in the case of a door being opened. If crates aren’t possible for your vehicle, we recommend seatbelt harnesses over riding loose.

A little fetch work with miss Flirt. For many of our service dogs this vital task gives their handler more independence and freedom, whether it’s fetching the mail or getting snacks for someone with low blood sugar, these dogs love their job!

Teaching your pup to handle grooming is so important! Malice may not require a haircut, but For The Love Of Dogs Pet Boutique & Grooming does such a good job with her bath and blow out I prefer sending her there rather than bathing at home. Thanks to being exposed to grooming inspections, it’s no big deal for her! Malice may not like the blowdryer, but she knows she’s expected to stand calmly and allow it to happen

Malice gave us a scare last night and had to have emergency surgery. Thankfully she seems to be on the mend and thanks to skilled surgeons and good care she should be fine.

I share this with you to highlight why our trainers recommend feeding at a set time rather than providing free access to food for your dogs. Malice was “off” all day yesterday, but didn’t have any especially concerning symptoms. She refused her dinner last night, and if you know Malice you know she never misses a chance to eat. This raised alarm bells and we took her to the ER where thankfully we were able to get her rapid care and improve her chances of recovery.

Please send up good thoughts for my girl, she’s been part of DTE since the beginning and we hope to have her around for years to come.

A huge thanks to the staff at MissionVet Specialty & Emergency and Hill Country Animal Emergency Hospital for taking such amazing care of Malice.

Join our fast-growing pack here at Dog Training Elite! Our team is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented person with a passion for helping our Brand grow and ensuring our users operate to the highest potential on the systems/tools provided.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Create and manage user accounts and permissions on various brand-wide systems, including the CRM, G-Suite, Twilio, LearningZen and DogStar DMS
• Document and communicate user account details per franchise to the billing department for accurate Tech Fee billing
• Provide support on user system issues as they arise
• Manage various pilot and Beta programs to improve systems as needed, identifying key regional participants, and gathering feedback to determine a brand-wide fit
• Plan, develop, and conduct individual and group training related to brand-wide systems
• Monitor system production to ensure compliance and quality
• Develop documents and videos for automated system procedures, manuals, and requirements
• Promote a culture of feedback and communication as we work to improve processes
• Help identify process improvements
• Help implement process changes
• Create, enhance, and improve various documents and videos on a bi-lingual scale
• Coordinate projects with other team members as needed

Salary: $44,000 with potential increase after 90-day review
