Shortly after my first son was born my I was surprised with my first-ever yellow lab; "GIRO" (Version 1.0.) We named Giro one weekend while at a mountain bike race in Lajitas, Texas. t for the fact that he loved to chew anything and everything........as most young puppies do! Our second yellow labrador; "KONA" (Version 2.0), was hand-picked by our family after a short drive to Kerrville, Texas. Kona was very iconic and unique as he had beautiful baby blue eyes and a super soft pink nose! Kona was named after a family trip to Hawaii and the world famous IronMan Triathlon race that takes place each year on the big island of Hawaii. Kona was a typical lab puppy and he too began to chew on garden hoses, rope, collars, and of course LEASHES!! After the 3rd trip to our local pet supply store, we decided that we were going to design, develop, and manufacture a super cool, comfortable, safe, and durable outdoor "CHEW PROOF DOG LEASH"....aka the TUFF Leash®! Fast forward to 2012 and our third labrador; "ASPEN" (Version 3.0.) After years of meticulous thoughts and continuous encouragement from my wife, we decided to establish Chew Proof Technologies in a small Texas Hill Country town named Boerne, Texas. Our mission is simple.....Build the tuffest, coolest, and hippest dog leashes and collars on the planet! So the big question is WHY are our leashes and collars different from everyone elses??? The answer is simple. Our proprietary leash technology allows us to embed stainless steel braided aircraft cables INSIDE the nylon webbing.
