Operation Pooch Portal completed. Jogged the fence line a few feet further down the sidewalk and added a doggie door.

My outside gym workout today. Stacking firewood. We got a little bit of hail yesterday and covered the ground like Mana from heaven. All melting off now. I think that may be the closest to snow we will get this season.

Thanks to a neighbors large splitter, we knocked out this pile of jacaranda tree. I built another wood storage with pallets. Lots of stacking.

Years ago we had to put a chain link fence up around the solar to keep the goats off the panels. I decided to remove it since we don’t have animals anymore. Got it finished just before the Thunder and lightning showed up. The neighbors Great Dane was so terrified of the thunder, he jumped their fence and ran down into our gully and jumped into my tractor! Made for an interesting moment. i returned him to his owner and pulled out the last post, then the heavens opened up and let loose.

Weekend chores.
Changed out some of the cast grates on our English made Airtite Wood/Coal stove.
Welded some “rope ties” onto my trailer project. Cut off some rust inside. (Never ending battle)
Moved some dirt around before our next “atmospheric river” hits this week. 😱😵😬

Taking down the pipe corrals (up for sale). Making a cover for the tractor. Another chapter closes at the ranch. Let’s see what the next one brings.

A productive afternoon here on the BR. Sprinkler timer was showing a fault error code at station #1.
Well, that’s just fine and dandy if you can recall where it was.
After locating the wrong valve box, I had partial recall and discovered where I placed the valve all by itself.
After trouble shooting, I determined the solenoid was bad. (First time I’ve had to change one) Off to the hardware store to pickup a new one. Shut off water at the main, swap out, wire up. And like magic, it works. Ta-dah!
The bonus was nailing the gopher. Victor traps never fail.

Brought home a Ford skip loader to use on the property. The equipment trailer was one I bought, fixed up and sold to really nice guy who let me rent it for the day.

Trailer flip #4. Replacing the front rail which was hit and bent back. Cut it off with the torch and welded a round steel pipe I had lying around. Porto-power came in quite handy.

A few more repairs on the Corn Planter. The Axle perches were broken off parallel to the main frame. Welded them up and added a little reddish brown paint. Moves it to its final spot. Next, I’ll add a wood Tongue.

Last phase of my Honda GoldWing project. Painting the faded and worn center console. The SEM color coat applied very easy using my HVLP gun.

Got the ol 2 row corn planter aka “drill” (nod to you Roger). Hauled it in 3 pieces. Not quite in its final spot, but happy how it looks.
Not sure about the year, but made by IH. Early 1900’s for sure.

Had to retire the Windmill. It was showing its age and unfortunately not very secure. Perhaps, I can find some cool stickers to adorn it with.

Phase 1 of Operation Longhorn complete. Now, for the drive home.
After, changing a fuel filter on the truck, Clark and I were able to reinstall the damaged bumper for my trip home. Made it to Fort Stockton for the night.
