How we started
I always loved to be around animals ever since I was little. Growing up I had parakeets, finches, hamsters, and a dog named Fofi. Later on my life Blackie came along and I became a crazy cat lady from there. I love dogs though and love to spend time with them. I was later looking into a business and a career that would make me stay at home with my 2 children and at the same time enjoy it. I came upon Rover.com while I was scrolling down on my newsfeed and I got interested because I always wanted to work with animals. That’s how JYA Pet care as our business was formally known was born. Rover has been our solid foundation to kick start our pet business. It also opened the doors to work in foster care for many rescues. The name rebrand of Black Beauty Paws N’ Whiskers Pet Care came upon when our precious Black Beauty was killed by a dog that we were boarding. It was a very devastating time for us and to this day it’s very sad to see that she is no longer with us. We decided to rebrand our business in her honor as she was and is still very special to us. She is survived by her daughter Black Beauty and her son Pusheen which we kept and love. Even though we had a tragedy happen the love of animals still keeps us moving forward taking care of precious animals while owners are away. We strive to take care pets as our own. We are also involved in rescue because dogs and cats that are abandoned need love and care. It's sad to see them go when they get adopted but at the same time we feel happy that we saved a life from dying at the shelter without love.
