Greendog Foundation

Greendog Foundation GreenDog Foundation is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and every day. It is the humane thing to do.

We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. Hundreds of thousands of people have lost their homes in recent years, and as a result have had to give up their pets. Shelter animals are at an all-time high as is euthanasia. I have witnessed pets arriving at the shelter with their name on a jeweled collar, and with special bedd

ings and toys, only to be put down a few days later. Many of us have had to put down an elderly or sick pet. But to a healthy dog or cat, euthanasia is anything but humane.

What an incredible and heartbreaking journey for those puppies—and such a testament to the dedication of organizations like GreenDog Foundation. It’s stories like these that highlight the importance of rescues stepping in during dire situations when others can’t. The fact that the puppies survived and even found a foster home shows how powerful timely medical care and compassion can be.

This story also underscores how vital donations and support are to keep rescues like GreenDog Foundation equipped to handle emergencies like this.

ADOPTED!

This is a heartfelt call for help, Reese’s story.

Calling All Senior Dog Lovers!

Meet Reese, a stunning 10-year-old, 26-pound Tibetan Terrier mix with a heart full of love and a sad story. Reese recently lost his owner and was left alone in the home. A kind neighbor was feeding him, but he was all by himself.

Thankfully, Animal Control of Corona stepped in to perform a well check and saw that Reese needed help. They brought him into the shelter for safety and care. Now, Reese is ready to find a loving home where he can truly thrive.

Reese is neutered and in need of either a foster home in the South Orange County area or, even better, a forever family to call his own.

💛 Can you open your heart and home to Reese? 💛

For more information or adoption inquiries, please contact:
• Corona Animal Shelter at +1 (951) 736-2309

Our Mission is to simply save as many healthy, loving and adoptable dogs from being killed for space in our now overburdened shelters here in California.
This year has been one of the HARDEST both emotionally and physically on our volunteers due to the overwhelming amount of animals being dumped in our shelters, but we will persevere and keep going, because we do it for one of the most loyal and loving creatures on this planet.

My volunteers said $5000 is “too much” (unattainable/unreachable), but I’m going for it. We have more than tripled our saves from last year and we need the funding. So please help us achieve our goal (and prove our volunteers wrong!) by making a donation now and sharing this fundraiser! And no matter what, please educate wherever you go and to whoever you talk to about the animal control crisis our shelters are in, because it is only through education that we can change our future.

Rest in Peace…
In early 2019, we rescued Hope. Hope was paralyzed from the waist down and ended up at Riverside Shelter. After learning that she had inoperable gun pellets in her spine, we tried steroid treatments and loads of love. On my birthday in 2019, she stood on her own and took her first steps (this video). From that day on, she got stronger and ran the ranch for years. The last couple years were tough on her…her heart enlarged maybe because of an overload of love from us. This morning, she threw a clot and I had to say goodbye to one of the most special rescues to have come into my life. Fly free little one. I love you so very much ❤️ you will be missed more than you could ever know.
