(Most shelters/rescues will give you care information and behaviors of the individual dog you’re considering adopting)

Just a bit of information on dachshunds here. Of course each dog is an individual and may or may not fit within the general traits and characteristics of the standard breed.

It’s almost Halloween, please keep your fur friends and fur family safe.

Get ‘em 🐸💚🐶

🎇 So many pets run or hide when startled. 🎆 Check your gates and fences. 🎇 Microchip your pet, or be sure the information is up to date. 🎆 Play, walk, run them earlier in the day to help tire them out. 🎇 Ask your vet about medication or CBD treats if your pets are highly sensitive to noise or very anxious. 🎆 If you leave, do not leave them outside. 🎇 Play some soft, calming music, and be sure they have their favorite toys, bed or blankets in the room with them. (Do you have other tips to share?)
