Meet Bella, the Brave Poodle! 💕

At just 7 months old, little Bella had already been through so much. She came to her new family with a limp, and X-rays showed a fractured paw and shoulder. After surgery and weeks of rest, she was finally healing until she began limping again.

💔 Another fracture was found on the same leg. Her family, having already spent their savings on previous surgeries, didn’t know where to turn.

Thanks to the and a grant from Sage Compassion for Animals, Bella received the surgery she needed to walk again.

Today, she’s happy, playful, and thriving, living her best life thanks to our amazing community of animal lovers, donors, and rescue partners. 🐾

🐾 Meet Oreo, a brave 2-year-old Yorkie mix who survived a serious accident. Tragically, he was hit by a car, leaving him with a severe leg fracture and causing him immense pain. His back end was dragging, and surgery was far beyond what his family could afford.

Thanks to a Sage Compassion for Animals grant and the amazing team at East Hills Veterinary Hospital, Oreo received the life-changing surgery he needed a leg amputation and is now pain-free and thriving.

Today, Oreo is back home, full of energy, and enjoying life as a happy, playful dog. His story is a reminder of the resilience of pets and the power of veterinary care, animal rescue, and compassionate pet support. 🐶✨

Meet Magic, Our September Hero

Because of YOU, Magic, a playful 8-month-old kitten, is safe and healing today. 💛🐾

When Magic suddenly became very sick, vomiting food, bile, and foam his mom rushed him to Berkeley Dog and Cat Hospital. Vets discovered he had swallowed a hair tie, which caused a dangerous intestinal blockage. Emergency surgery was his only chance of survival.

Magic’s mom, a recent law school graduate studying for the California bar exam, was already under financial strain and didn’t know how she could afford such a costly procedure. But thanks to YOUR generosity and a grant from Sage Compassion for Animals, Magic received the life-saving surgery he needed.

Today, Magic is back home, recovering with his loving mom and big brother, Marz. Here’s what his mom shared:

“Magic is doing great and healing up. He’s a sweet boy but mischievous! He got into my hair cabinet and swallowed a hair tie. I don’t know what I would’ve done without your help. Thank you for giving me the support I needed to keep my little boy.”
