🐾 Meet Leo

Leo is a sweet 2-year-old cat who suddenly began limping and dragging his back leg. X-rays revealed a painful femoral fracture, and he needed FHO surgery to walk again without pain.

His loving family, already facing financial hardship, turned to Sage Compassion for Animals for help. 💕 Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the skilled care of East Bay SPCA, Leo received the life-saving veterinary surgery he needed.

Adopted as a kitten during a tough time, Leo has always been a source of comfort for his family. Now, thanks to you, he’s back on his paws, healing, playful, and surrounded by love. 🐱

Meet Lina, Our August Hero

Because of YOU, Lina, a sweet 6-year-old terrier mix, is alive and thriving today. 💕

When Lina suddenly became very sick, vomiting, not eating, and struggling to breathe her family rushed her to VEG San Ramon Emergency Vet. She was diagnosed with pyometra, a painful, life-threatening uterine infection that can only be treated with emergency surgery.

Her family had already spent all they could, but thanks to your generosity and a grant from Sage Compassion for Animals, Lina got the life-saving surgery she needed. Despite her infection being so advanced that her uterus had ruptured, Lina fought through and today she’s back to eating, walking, sunbathing, and cuddling with her sister, Mia. 🌞🐾

❤️ Because of YOU, Lina has more happy days, more tail wags, and more time with the family who loves her most.

But Lina is just one of many pets who arrive at emergency animal hospitals each week in need of urgent care. Your donations help us say “YES” when families can’t afford treatment.

At Sage Compassion for Animals, we believe every family deserves to keep that bond strong and that’s why our mission is to provide access to life-saving veterinary care, so dogs can stay healthy and remain with the people who love them most.

🐾 Meet Roscoe!

At just 7 months old, Roscoe faced a life-threatening emergency. He was rushed to the vet after severe bleeding and diagnosed with a urethral prolapse, a dangerous condition requiring urgent surgery.

With limited financial resources, Roscoe’s mom turned to Sage Compassion for Animals. Because of our emergency veterinary care grant program funded by compassionate donors like YOU. Roscoe got the surgery he needed at Animal Fix Clinic.

Today, this playful pup is back home, healthy, happy, and full of energy. His mom shared:

“Sage responded with no problem. I’m so thankful for them, Roscoe is back home running around feeling better.”
