Hazel’s motto: there’s no small or quiet way to tell (yell) you I love you. 🐾😌💛
At just over a year old, this social butterfly greets the world with her full chest.
And body.....And face. And paws. 😅—which sometimes means jumping at the gate to make sure no one misses her hello.
We’ve been channeling those big feelings into calm confidence; practicing patience and steady greetings before people come through the gate. She’s incredibly smart, endlessly sweet, and proving every day that BIG LOVE and self-control can coexist beautifully. ☺️

🐾 Quiet Moments, Big Steps

Ruby is from Heart of Gold Shelter, where the world can feel big, loud, and unpredictable. Dogs like her often need quiet and patience before they can show who they really are.

I sat nearby, calmly dropping random treats, and just waited. When she realized I wasn’t requiring anything of her, that she had the choice to engage… her empowerment became courage.

When I met Ruby, she scurried into the farthest corner from me, and my mission became to show her — and her nervous system — that there was a safe place for her.

Everybody, this is Winston! 😂🤩 He *demands* kibble in his bowl post-haste 🫘; he is the most gentlemanly walker 🎩; and never minds stopping for photos with his fans 📸.

Winston’s mom had to jet out of town for a quick 24 hours, and hired DWST for some drop-in visits—a much more cost effective way to give your pup the attention they need while you’re away for a short stint. 🤩

It’s getting really fun around here, folks! 🥰

Everyone meet Bryce Canyon 🏜⛰! He is pure, 100% kinetic energy 💥, has the prey drive of a thousand suns 🐇💨, and will stalk a lizard like his life depends on it 🦎. Mom and Dad called me to help while one traveled and the other worked long hours, and I am absolutely charmed by his positivity on every level.

Everybody, meet Bruno! 🕴🏼🪄🎩🕶 He is absolutely the *chillest* dog on leash 🧘🏻‍♂️ , is an inescapable lizard spotter 🦎, genuinely curious about every new thing 🔎, and absolutely LOVES b***y pats 😍. Plus he has a purple tongue! 💜💟 He hails from Texas originally—where his previous owners likely dumped him to fend for himself—until fate brought him to his new home full of love and and unending acceptance. We are so happy to have him in the D.W.S.T. family!

Meet Ginsburg! 🥸 This sweet gentleman came to me on a last minute request for help, while his caretaker focused on important work. He is incredibly intelligent 🧠, decisively stubborn ✋🏻 (iykyk), and knows his *precise* way around his neighborhood 🗺 in order to return perfectly to his favorite spot near his cool AC 🌬❄️. German Shepherds are intensely bound to their people and are quite suspicious of strangers, so to have earned his trust after just a few (expectedly tense) moments of coaxing, and putting on my big-girl pants 😅, (that have pockets full of treats)—it’s a HUGE accomplishment. 🥳

I am always open to meeting *your* “stubborn gentleman”, should you need help too; just reach out! 🥰
