This doggy just joined our rescue family—and his story is one of resilience and hope.
He came to us unable to walk, after visiting three different vets who couldn’t pinpoint the cause. But we didn’t give up. After running blood work and digging deeper, we finally uncovered what was wrong—and now, he’s on the path to healing. 💪🐾
We’re giving him the medical care he desperately needs, and he’s already showing signs of progress. His eyes say it all: he’s ready to fight, and we’re right here beside him.

🙏 Grateful for Community Support After Another Break-In
Our dog supply storage locker was broken into again here in San Diego. They didn’t just force the door—they broke and twisted off the extra handles we had added to keep it secure. It’s heartbreaking to see the lengths people will go, especially when these supplies are meant for rescued dogs who’ve already been through so much.
But in the middle of this mess, we found kindness. We went to Home Depot and spoke with Raul, the supervisor, and he sprung into action. He helped us get the supplies we needed and even made sure we had extra support to reinforce the locker.
Huge shootout to Raul and the Home Depot team for showing up for us when we felt most vulnerable. Your help means the world—not just to us, but to the dogs who rely on these supplies every single day.

🌈💔 Today we said goodbye to our beloved April.

She crossed the rainbow bridge at around 18 years old, having been with us since 2007. April wasn’t just a dog—she was family, a pillar of our sanctuary, and a gentle soul who grew old surrounded by love, care, and her fellow senior pups.
As time passed, she gracefully stepped into her golden years, reminding us of the quiet strength and wisdom that comes with age. We have many seniors here, but April held a special place in our hearts.
Her absence leaves a big hole, and she will be deeply missed by all of us.
Run free, sweet girl. You were so loved. 🐾❤️
