A little throwback for you today! 📸 We photographed Archer, my favorite Bulldog in the whole world, for @wellnesspetfood just before we took off on our big road trip adventure earlier this year. He is the most well-behaved boy who is so full of personality! From running around the house to snuggles with mom and chomps on his favorite WHIMZEES dental chews, he was the ultimate model! I love this guy so much!!!! ❤️🐶
Oh, to be Bernie & Brutus, two mini Goldendoodles living the life in Lake Tahoe!! When their mom messaged us the day before to ask if we would like to join them on their boat, we quickly and enthusiastically said, “YES!!!” What a special day we had with our new friends! We had so much fun time meeting and photographing 📸 Biggie and his mom during the last stop of our Great American Road Trip! There is nothing like taking photos of a big, happy, lovable pup in such a magical place! It was everything we could do to keep Biggie dry until he just couldn’t hold back any longer! It was understandable… the water was so beautiful we *all* ended up jumping in for a swim! We love Lake Tahoe!! ❤️ 🐶

A little Lake Tahoe camping 🏕 wouldn’t be complete without a Camp Corbin Trailblazing Tent plush toy and a full-size dog tent! Bernie the goldendoodle had the ✨best✨ time playing and adventuring in this beauuuuutiful forest 🌲 with his mom! He especially loved playing fetch and tug with the adorable sleeping bags that come stuffed in the plush tent toy. Bernie is the cutest and happiest guy! He made our whole photo shoot tons of fun! 🐶 📸

George the cockapoo and his family win the prize for farthest distance traveled for a photo shoot this year — over 10 hours of travel one-way!!! 🚗 OK, this may have been for more than just the shoot... George and his family were my neighbors back in San Diego (they moved while we were on the road 😭) and before we left on this year’s trip, we planned that they would come join us in Lake Tahoe for a little fun in the sun! When Wellness told me they were sending me some of their Hearty Toppers for our August photo shoot, I knew Georgie would be the perfect model for them! George agreed! During the shoot, he would give me looks asking, “Is this really work, Auntie? I don’t think I believe you!” We had so much fun shooting these images for Wellness! ❤️🐶📸

One of the things I love most about traveling is making new friends. A few days after we arrived in northern Washington, we met Dalva (a stunning Llewellin Setter) and her mom & dad. They are fellow travelers and were staying just a few spots down from us in their RV! We ended up having so much fun together — BBQs, coffee, a seaside walk, and a little girl’s day shopping — but one of the most memorable things was a photo shoot for GoldPaw!
As soon as I saw Dalva, I pictured her in @goldpawseries Stretch Fleece and their new Walking Collection. Greg and I had just found the perfect spot for the photo shoot earlier in the day and now we had the perfect dog, too! Dalva and her mom were total superstars and I’m so happy we had the chance to work with them! Dalva loved her new cozy Stretch Fleece and she walked so nicely with the Featherweight Hound Collar & matching leash!
Another fun part of meeting Dalva and her family was that as we got to know each other, I asked if I could have Dalva during the day while they were at work. I was so grateful they said yes! Dalva kept us company, gave the best snuggles, and made us laugh with her unique sleeping positions, playtime antics, and obsession with all the birds! I was so happy to have her while we were there. ❤️
Few things in life make me happier than cheeeeeeese. 🧀 So, it should come as no surprise that our trip to the PNW would simply *have* to include a stop at the Tillamook factory. Since they didn’t have any available cheese tasting tours, Greg booked us a behind-the-scenes ice cream tour & tasting, which started off with a ice cream sandwich as an amuse bouche. 😆 We had so much fun learning about their process and tasting more ice cream than I could eat… good thing I had Greg with me! It probably didn’t help that I had just had a grilled cheese sandwich, mac & cheese, and fried cheese curds from their food court just before the tour. 😋🤤
After our ice cream tour, we headed into the gift shop where we bought — you guessed it — more cheese! We also picked up a few little souvenirs to remind us of this super-fun stop on our journey!
Meet Dizzy, the ultimate happiness ambassador! 🐾 With his bright smile, impressive tricks, gravity-defying jumps, and irresistibly good looks, Dizzy brought an immeasurable amount of joy to our photo shoot. I loved capturing the strong bond he and his mom share — it was clear how much love and trust there is between them. During our shoot, I had the very best time capturing Dizzy’s playful spirit and love for Wellness Soft Puppy Bites, making it a session of pawsitively delightful memories. 🐶💫

When I saw Lulu’s model application come through, I just *knew* our trip sponsor, @goldpawseries was going to absolutely LOVE her! This sweet rescue girl is so full of love, joy, and energy — and it shows in her shining smile! We had so much fun running, playing, and laughing at our photo shoot and I’ll be remembering the day for a long, long time. The forecast had been calling for full clouds but the weather gods knew happy-girl Lulu needed some bright, sparkly sunshine for her modeling debut. We feel so lucky to have met Lulu & her mom and for our amazing trip sponsors who love specially-abled pups as much as we do!
🎵 First things first: sound on for the cutest song! 🥰 At one of our trip sponsor 📸 shoots this month, our model was telling us about how she works at the local animal shelter, @clatsop_animal_assistance. Once she realized how important animal rescue and giving back is to us, she asked if we would consider coming to the shelter to photograph the adoptable dogs — including some who have been there for over six months. I’m honestly not sure she even got the entire question out before I said, “Yes! 100%! Let’s do it!” 🐶🐱❤️
We got all the approvals on Monday to do the shoot, we scheduled for the following Sunday, and I began to ask myself, “how could we make this even better?” The answer was simple: get our trip sponsors involved! I emailed @wellnesspetfood, @petplaysf, and @goldpawseries to ask if they would consider making a donation. All three wrote back immediately with an enthusiastic, “Yes, of course!” ✅ GoldPaw donated a mountain of their awesome Buddy Braids and Limited Edition Bandanas. ✅ P.L.A.Y. sent a package chock-full of Go-Go Astro Balls, ZoomieRex IncrediBalls, and the cutest little Feline Frenzy cat toys. ✅ And last but certainly not least, Wellness sent a box overflowing with Grillin’ Grub, Puppy Bites, and Lickable Treats for the shelter kitties!
On Sunday, we were at the shelter from about 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and photographed 17 dogs! 📸 🤯 Three awesome people volunteered their time to be there with us, helping to bring dogs out, get them in position, and keep the afternoon flowing smoothly. We are so grateful to each of them! 🙌🙌🙌
All of the animals we met at the shelter on Sunday were so, so special. 🐶🐱❤️ Greg and I truly hope the photographs we created will help them find their forever families quickly. 🏡
