What a wonderful day. Feels like summer. Lots of adorable Chickies delivered today. Silkies, jubilee Orpingtons, Black Copper Marans, Cream Legbars, Mottled Houdans and more…from babies to 25 week olds. Then finishing the deliveries with a stop at one of my favorite places…neptunes net.

Busy Busy Busy here at the ranch. Even though it is raining, all the chickies like to go out and stand in it. It makes it so hard to tell who is who when I am collecting them to deliver. But some lucky customers got so many different breeds today, including some gorgeous 25 week old Wyandottes -- Columbian, Blue Laced Red, Black Laced Red and Silver Laced. Rhode Island Red. Buckeye and Bielefelder and White Leghorn. Also, my last Gold Laced Cochin. And delivered Over 70 baby chickies 17 different breeds.

Finally...everyone is fed and happy...and I get to relax inside.

Just finished feeding all the chickies. For about one minute the sun came out and I thought the crazy weather was done for, but then rain and hail.

However, my girls rewarded me with so many eggs, so i am thankful.

The UPS guy happened to come by right when I brought them back to the house to wash so he got 24 of them.

I felt we needed a little chickie picture because we are nearing the end of the 2023 season. We let our chickies take a rest in the winter so we rarely have babies as most of the girls stop laying. Thank goodness some continue, like the Rhode Island Whites and most of our bantams. They love to lay in the winter.

I think they called my name at Starbucks...let me through...haha. What a gorgeous collection of chickies in this photo. Silkies, Cream Legbars, Lavender Orpingtons and a lot more. We put the different breeds of chickies together as babies so that you won't have any pecking problems if you want to mix and match breeds. Even mixing and matching bantams and standards. We are experts at it!
