Meet Tiny Kitten Coven's newest intakes- Null and Void!!

Null and Void were found a couple weeks ago by one of our past adopters, who adopted a kitten they are absolutely identical to!! They are the right color and size to be honorary Meowloweens!

Because they were outside with collars, at first we thought they were outdoor cats belonging to someone nearby. But as time went on and they didn't seem to have a home to go back to, even during storms, luckily the neighbors got worried and helped them out. They got safe shelter during the storm, and afterwards it was determined they weren't fixed and had no microchips.

They went to the humane society for a stray hold, but when no one claimed them, they were fixed, vetted, and Tiny Kitten Coven took them in. We assume they must have been abandoned by their original owner, which is so incredibly sad. They're friendly, snuggly, playful, and perfect!

They're in a foster home now while they recover from surgery, but will be available for adoption soon!

It's unreal how cute the Condiments kittens are!!

Like Chutney here, all 7 of them, including mama Jelly, have been adopted and are either in or waiting to leave for their fantastic homes! 🥰

Floof and Tohru went home together today!! 💕

Tohru has been with us since the beginning and all her kittens got adopted first, but it's finally her turn! She's such a sweet and lovely cat, and we're so happy for her!

She and Floof are a great match, and two cats are always better than one so they have a buddy that speaks their language to keep them entertained and stop them from getting lonely!

All the best to these two amazing girls in their forever home!

The Condiments litter girls all already have interested and/or approved adopters, but the boys are still available! They will be ready to go home this weekend. (Mama Jelly will be available soon too!)

ADOPTION UPDATE Miss Evening was adopted yesterday and is doing well so far in her forever home!! She's such a sweet little kitty and we are so happy for her ❤️

Meet Morning, who is now available for adoption!

Morning came to us from the same hoarding/neglect situation as Evening. They lived with 20+ other cats and 2 dogs in a tiny apartment with all the windows boarded up, and the cats intermittently kept in tiny cages. We may never know the extent of what these cats went through.

Morning is an absolutely stunning calico point with incredible blue eyes and gorgeous seal/cream coloring. She is still learning to trust people, staying very quiet and hiding often, which is understandable after everything she has been through! But there is a very sweet kitty under all that She will need a quiet forever home (no young kids) and an adopter who is willing to be patient as she continues to learn to come out of her shell.

Are you looking for your purrfect furry Valentine? Look no further than Tohru!

Tohru has been looking for her forever home since December, and we can't understand why! She's absolutely purrfect- very friendly, snuggly, good with other cats, good with dogs, and good with kids!

She loves to be the center of attention, and at a little over 1.5 years old still has a playful kitten side to her as well. She is sweet and clever, and would make a wonderful buddy for anyone looking for a loyal companion. She would do well in a household with existing cats, or as an only cat.

Tohru came to us with her kittens, and was caring for ELEVEN kittens from a mixed litter! All of her kittens are adopted now, and Tohru is still patiently waiting for her own forever home to come along.

Tohru is spayed, microchipped, felv tested, and up to date on vaccines.

Butter (and all his siblings) are just way too cute!! Are we sure it's allowed for someone to be THIS cute this tiny?!

The Condiments litter came in with a nasty URI and needed antibiotics for secondary infections that a couple of them showed symptoms of. They're finally off antibiotics, so as long as no one has any relapse of infection symptoms, they'll be able to be fixed and adopted in the next couple weeks 🤞🤞

Evening
DOB 06/04/2024, Female

Evening came into rescue from a hoarding/neglect situation with her very sick kittens, who unfortunately didn't survive. Evening was very shy to start with and was scared to be touched, from trauma in her past. She has a scar on the back of her neck, we're not sure from what exactly. She has turned into a super friendly kitty after a few short weeks in rescue, and will make a wonderful companion for anyone willing to be just a little bit patient with her!

Evening is still a little shy, but warms up pretty quickly to new people, loves snuggles, and is very chatty! She is super sweet and loyal, and will follow her person around the house while chatting to them. She is still trying to figure out how to play with toys, but is very inquisitive and curious with new things.

Evening would love to have a kitty buddy, but would do well as an only cat as well. She would do best in a quieter home without young children, and she has lived with dogs in the past.

Prince and Lucy went home together today! ❤️❤️

Adopting kittens in pairs is always a great idea! Cats are more social than people tend to think, and young kittens especially really benefit from having another kitten or cat around to teach them manners, keep them company, and be a constant playmate! Plus, look how cute they are together 😍

First intakes of 2025, proving that kitten season is year round in San Diego!

On 1/1 Tiny Kitten Coven took in a young mama with two babies, from a hoarding case where all the cats were getting fixed. Mama is so young herself, probably only about 7 months, and only weighs 5 lbs. She's malnourished and unable to produce much milk. She originally had 4 kittens, all born way under ideal birth weight. Newborn kittens should weigh around 88-110 grams on average. At 10 days old the biggest of this litter barely weighed that, and others were below 100 grams. You can feel their spines and bones stick out so prominently on these kittens, it's heartbreaking. Low birth weight is one of the biggest risk factors for neonatal kitten deaths, and sadly 2 of the litter passed before they came into rescue. The 3rd, a little brown tabby passed shortly after coming into our care.

This family is a prime example of exactly why every cat should be spayed or neutered before this happens. Cats can get pregnant as young as 4 months old, but at that age and especially without being given proper prenatal care and nutrition, more often than not it ends in a sick mama cat and kittens that can't survive, even with human intervention. It leads to a lot of suffering for the cats involved that could be avoided by fixing cats earlier.

The little grey boy is still with us and still fighting, and is in a foster home receiving supplement feeding round the clock, as well as subQ fluids and other injectable and oral meds as needed. Mama is receiving similar care to make up for the malnutrition, and hopefully apart from getting her healthy for herself, also have her able to produce some amount of quality milk for her surviving kitten.
