We want to take you all the way back to the beginning…

In November of 2017 my spouse went to the shelter with the intention to surprise me with a puppy. He picked one out and reserved it for me, but later decided that he wanted me to pick it out myself. Not knowing that he had previously reserved one, I went blindly into the shelter and chose a puppy. I ended up choosing the exact same one he had chosen. 🥹 We both fell in love with the cutest, 4-5 month old, beagle pup named Minka. It was obvious that she was the perfect one for us. We took her home that day and haven’t looked back since! 🤍

Our sweet Minka is now 6 years old and still living her best life. She is the face, inspiration and co-founder of this brand.🐶🐾

Hi! Chelsea and Minka here. We are the face and inspiration behind the brand, and we are here to tell you where it all started.

The first time I realized designing and developing was a passion of mine was when my mom took me back to school shopping in early middle school. I described a pair of shoes I wanted and she had me draw a picture of them. When she saw my drawing she responded with, "Those don't exist." So, I started creating things that didn't exist.

Fast forward to 2020. Moving to San Francisco brought about a new idea for something that didn't exist. After about a week of transitioning my dog into a metro pup, I realized there was nothing that could hold the essentials for us on our daily walks. That's when I whipped up a prototype for the MetroPup Carry-all Bag. Three years of trial and error later, and I have finally got a product that I am ready to put out into the world!
