Yesterday, I was surprised for my birthday. Today, I got to surprise someone else for her birthday. One of my usual partners in caring and I surprised one of our dear clients for her 80th birthday. A big thank you to the folks at Clyde's Willow Creek Farm for helping Cayce and I took make this a birthday to remember.

A few months ago, someone left a hard copy of this article on my desk in my office at The Care Concierge LLC with a note that read "you guys should do this." I read the article and thought "we DO do this." While The Care Concierge LLC offers a number of services, one that many find comforting is our Appointment Companion service. We go to a doctor's appointment with our client, complete forms or Ipad registration and sit with the client. Some clients have us go into the exam room with him or her. Several have reported having lower blood pressure and less anxiety when we accompany them. If you find yourself in need an Appointment Companion, call us for a consultation.

Covid has given rise to a new business in China: hospital es**rt services for elderly patients whose children are far away or busy working.

No company can exist without an awesome team. I am so fortunate to have the BEST team. There are five of us but three of us often work in same location and get to spend a lot of time together. This weekend we were able to do an overnight retreat. Lots of food and lots of laughs. I hope the rest of the team can join us next year!

UPDATE: This post is long overdue. Ms. Mindi found a new home and a new younger sibling. They get along great and Ms. Mindi is very happy!

NEW HOME NEEDED: I met this lovely girl, her brother and her parents 14 years ago through my pet care company. I had the pleasure of caring for Mindi and her brother Mork for 4 years until her parents moved away. Recently, I have had the pleasure of caring for Mindi again. Sadly, Miss Mindi is the only one left. Her dad passed away a few weeks ago. Mindi, now needs a new home.
Mindi’s human sister has done her best to provide a caring home for Mindi, but Mindi needs someone who has time to cuddle frequently throughout the day (watching tv on a lap or cuddling while someone reads). Mindi’s sister has an active family with young children and a senior dog. They have tried very hard but cannot support Mindi’s lifestyle. Mindi is 14 years old, but has the spirit and energy of young pup. She wears a diaper in the house to make sure no mistakes occur from excitement. She comes with plenty of supplies including beds, blankets, toys, pillows, bowls, a crate, and indoor playpen. She also has a 6-month supply of heartworm medicine and flea and tick treatment. This is a two-part post. Yesterday, I was called in my "official" capacity as a personal concierge to assist with a "lid." No big deal I thought. I was expecting an issue of strength. Little did I know the challenge that lay ahead. The challenge was so great that I turned to YouTube. Unfortunately, this lady had just as much trouble as I did. In the end like, I DID get the lid off. It was not pretty nor easy.

Since I rarely if ever accept defeat, I purchased a can and practiced at home. See my next video post.
