Looking for a loyal companion to snuggle up with? Meet Doozy, a 2 ½-year-old male Pitbull who’s stealing hearts at the San Jose PAWp-Up Adoption Center today!

This handsome guy, with his stunning red coat, is as affectionate and gentle as they come. Doozy is playful yet calm, loves treats, and is the ultimate cuddle buddy. I’ll admit—when I had him over, I broke my own rules and let him snuggle on the bed because I just couldn’t resist!

Doozy is ready to find his forever home, and he’s hoping it’s with you. Come meet him at the PAWp-Up Adoption Center today and see why everyone is falling in love with this sweet boy!

It was an honor to be part of the press conference for San Jose PAWp-Up, our city’s first pop-up animal adoption center. This initiative shines a much-needed spotlight on shelter animals who deserve so much more than life confined to kennels or cages. It’s about creating opportunities for meaningful connections—where people can meet these amazing companions face-to-face, witness their unique personalities, and imagine the joy they could bring into their lives.

This holiday season, I invite you to visit, meet these incredible animals, and connect with the compassionate shelter staff who work tirelessly to care for them. Consider giving the ultimate gift—a loving home to a deserving pet. It’s a gift that transforms not only their life but yours as well.

National service dog nonprofit Canine Companions is hosting their annual DogFest event at Oakland’s Jack London Square on Saturday, October 19! 🎃🐾 Join us for a dog-friendly, Halloween-themed day packed with fun, including canine costume contests, temporary tattoos for people and pups, paw painting, a dog selfie studio, service dog demos, music, a kid’s zone, and more!

Stop by the Coffee Companions booth and say hi! While we won’t be selling our cold brews, we’ll have our beans 🫘 and merch for sale. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Adopt My Block, based in North San Jose, is a non-breed specific dog rescue focused on rehoming at-risk dogs and supporting struggling pet parents with supplies and emergency vet care. Since 2019, AMB has fostered dozens of dogs, nursing many back to full health. With plans to expand, they’re working with businesses and the community to do even more for dogs in need!

It’s that time of year again!! 🎉🐾

Join us for an all-day, FREE, outdoor, family-friendly event at Bark in the Park™, the largest dog festival in the U.S. with over 15,000 dog lovers and 3,900 dogs! 🐕❤️

Highlights include:
✨ Kids’ Zone: Dog-themed bounce house, face painting, Doga, DIY dog toy making, storytime, a resource tent for dog owners in training, and a kid’s agility course!
