Please help Hobbes/Boots!

Hobbes, now Boots, is a community kitty that only became one due to his former owners abandoning him in our neighborhood. He was given the name Hobbes by the same family that left him behind when they moved, and was what he was known by in the neighborhood. He is as sweet and loving as can be, but sadly we have not had any luck getting fosters to step up to take him in. Luckily, a few months ago a very kind neighbor stepped up to care for him, even giving him his new name (Boots) to signify his new life! It seemed like he had finally gotten the happily ever after that he has always deserved. Sadly, he started having neurological issues this morning and a vet appointment is urgently needed. Our vet Kindred Animal Hospital agreed to see Hobbes/Boots tomorrow at 1:30, but his new parents are struggling to gain the funds to pay for it. One is a full time college student and the other recently lost his job due to lay offs. Despite this, they have done their absolute best to provide Hobbes/Boots with everything he needs, when no one else was willing to step up for him. If you could please donate to help cover his urgent medical costs, it would be greatly appreciated! Donations can be sent directly to his new mom, Kaitlyn, or called directly in to the vet!

Congrats to our little Clove! She found her forever family tonight! Her mom walked in and immediately fell head over heels for our sassy little princess!

Found cat!

San Marcos, TX - right on the line of Kyle and San Marcos! Found in Blanco Vista in the back of the 900 block of Easton Dr, around the neighborhood pool.

Does anyone recognize this sweet kitty? She made her way into one of our TNR traps the night before last. Female. Calico. DSH Domestic Shorthair. NO MICROCHIP! We do not have anyone stepping up to help foster animals, despite our desperate pleas for foster parents, nor do we have the space or financial ability to take any more animals into the program as it stands. The cat will be going to SMRAS (San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter), unless someone wants to step up to foster, and others step up to sponsor the entire cost of all of her vetting and daily care, until she’s either reunited with her family, or adopted out (if no family can be found). Foster placement must be secured for her within the next 24 hours, as the recovery kennel she’s occupying needs to be used for a TNR kitty. A committed foster and a financial sponsor for her is the ONLY way we would be able to help this cat, and help our amazing shelter staff from taking on the burden of another animal, when they are already in crisis mode too. We also have plenty of other kitties needing foster placement still, as well as a plethora of wonderful cats and kittens looking for their forever homes! Fosters MUST commit to housing their foster animal until the animal is adopted!
