ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENT AND APPRECIATION POST!!!
A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to BVARC foster kittens, Marbles and Tang, who each found their incredible forever families during this weekends adoption events at Petco in Kyle!
Both of these amazing kittens were long stays in our program, through no fault of their own, and we could not understand why they continued to get passed up as each adoption weekend passed. As it turns out, fate had a plan for them all along and just needed us to keep pampering them for just a little longer, until their perfect families were meant to find them! We cannot wait to get adoption updates as they settle in and enjoy their happily ever afters! No doubt both kittens will be spoiled completely rotten, and we fully support it! 😊
If you’d like to help us save more kitties like Tang and Marbles, please consider fostering with us, adopting from us, volunteering with us, or helping us continue by donating towards our vet expenses or donating an item from our urgent needs wishlist!
Monetary contributions can be sent to our Venmo or through our gift fund on our Urgent Needs Wishlist, where you can also find our most desperately needed supply donation items!

Thank you for helping us any time we have had animals that required adherence to special dietary needs/restrictions or foster furbabies with picky eating habits! Thank you for coming to our rescue with necessary supplies right before thanksgiving, when no where else was open, and a whole litter of gruel puppies was dumped on us 😬! Thank you for sharing our posts, advocating for our animals, and for allowing us to form wonderful relationships with your staff, some of which have joined our volunteer team in support of the cause! Thank you for welcoming our foster pups and their foster parents into your store for much needed doggy baths, and our foster kittens in for impromptu fun socializing visits! Thank you for treating our adopters so well, who come in needing supplies for their new furbaby!
-Adopters: thank you for seeing our devotion to our mission, and trusting BVARC to find you your new best friend and family member! Thank you for recognizing how much love, hard work, and dedication we put into our foster animals, and giving them the incredible life, home, and family that they deserve! Thank you for loving them as much as we do! Matching you with your soul doggo/kitty, seeing your smiles as you set off with your new family addition, and getting happy updates from y’all is what motivates us to keep going! If you would like to adopt, please message us directly!
-Heel to Heal: thank you Robbie and Scott for your dedication to our foster pups, especially for those doggos who come in and need a bit more help with training, as well as caring about those special doggos who are desperately trying to communicate with us, but just need a little more guidance while learning how to do that properly! Thank you for supporting our foster parents and working with our adopters, helping us organize, promoting our mission, and being a part of our team!
-Our Vets and Clinic Teams Kindred Animal Hospital, Deep Roots Animal Clinic, Clear Springs Veterinary, Pet Prevent a Litter - PALS, Pet Specialists of Austin: thank you for working so hard to help us get our rescue flock, TNR cats, and foster fur/feather/shelled/scaled-babies completely healthy, healed, managed, and fully vetted! We could prob write a whole novel about everything we’re grateful to our veterinary teams for doing for our animals. Rescues often have a terrible reputation in veterinary medicine, for racking up thousands in bills and not paying those bills in a timely manner, or sometimes not even paying them at all. Many vets won’t even work with rescues for this reason, which only makes it harder for good rescues to find vet care for our animals. We have NEVER asked our vets for the option to essentially open a tab with them, and we never will. We pay our invoices in full, immediately, because the veterinarians and staff at the clinics we use have always shown us, our foster parents, our volunteers, our adopters, and most importantly, our animals, the utmost respect and dedication. They don’t look down on us or treat us as any less of a priority, due to who we are or what we do. They don’t shame us when we sometimes have to pay part or all of our invoices in cash/coins from our donation jar, or have to split payments between three different methods. Nope, instead, they help us count those coins and they laugh WITH us about it, then encourage us to keep hustling for support however we can! They don’t get frustrated with us for having to call a bit more frequently due to the amount of animals we have going in an out, the complicated nature of some cases and the confusion that may arise from them, nor do they care when we send 15 page long messages/emails with a list of updates on the many animals of ours that they might be treating at that time, or just the ultra complicated one they may be treating. They don’t treat us poorly if we have a lot of questions regarding the course of action, because they know we are invested in seeing those animals reach the finish line, and know we need to understand each situation so we can prepare a game plan to make that happen for as many as we can. Every clinic we tagged is composed of kind, dedicated, professional, caring, patient, communicative, considerate, honest, trustworthy, wonderful people, and every single one of them devotes the same attention to our animals that they do with any other client. They go above and beyond to try everything within their means that would allow their clients and patients to receive the best care that they can feasibly offer them. They love and care about our animals too, and they are right there next to us, the whole time, cheering for each one to cross that aforementioned finish line. Even for difficult cases, they offer us hope, reassurance, and peace of mind for whatever decision is made, or step that has to be taken; yet, somehow they manage to be empathetic and professional, while remaining a pillar of strength for us, despite them often having emotional investments in that animal too. Our vet teams make this possible for us, and its incredibly disappointing that we almost never see rescues acknowledging all of the hours that their veterinary partners have also invested into each of those rescue animals too. To all of our veterinarians, techs, and clinic staff, we are grateful to you for your time, your expertise, your composure, your strength, your guidance, your honesty, and your willingness to teach. Thank you for everything you have done for BVARC. It is a privilege to continue to be able to work with you, and we are beyond blessed to have you as part of our team!
Let’s give one more big CONGRATS to Marbles aka Marbies/The Marblets/Marbleberry Pie, and Tang aka TehTang/TangTang/Tangueray! We love y’all and wish you both very long, happy lives with your forever families! Let’s keep this momentum up and get even more adoptions this weekend!
Thank you, all!
