Helena crocheted these little cuties for a supporter of our rescue, and we packaged them up for transport.

Helena's crochet animals are our most-requested item that we exchange for donations to our rescue, and the amount of detail and hours that go into these guys is impressive!

Tiny Desiree (Coturnix quail) was in our vet hospital over Thanksgiving for scalp injuries.

She is a flighty little bird, and while predators can't get into her enclosure, we found raccoon prints around Quail Quarters. We realized that Desiree was so panicked that she banged herself against the fence repeatedly, causing significant scalp wounds.

She's back in her Quail Quarters after some time healing, with more hiding places to keep her from seeing the raccoons.

Peaches and Pansy 🐇

Peaches is the 3rd bunny we've introduced to Pansy, and we have concluded that Pansy is best as a bachelor. While he loves to groom and kiss through the cage, during the bonding process, he tends to clam up around girls. (Adolescent boys, am I right?)

So, Pansy will continue to thrive around the fosters we have for and be a happy, solo bun.
