While grooming this sweet gentle giant yesterday, I found something on his leg! His momma said that he had been favoring his hind hip, we figured it’s because he was getting old.

Nobody would have been able to see what was really bothering him, until they shaved his coat off.

As I was doing the sanitary trim with the clippers, down the inside of the hind right leg - I found scar tissue that I have only seen on other dogs that have been bit by a rattlesnake !!

This guy must have been bit a couple months back, and survived it with flying colors. His head didn’t even swell up!! God said “You stay there with that family, just a little bit longer.”

So although he is getting old, the real reason behind him favoring that hind leg, is because of a damned old snake.

Just another reason to take your dog to come see me! We will figure things out together. Call me Sherlock homie.

My one goal here is for dogs to look like this, after a bath.

I’m not talking dolled up to the nines, after a haircut. (Although, that doesn’t hurt!) I mean a genuinely happy, calm dog that looks/smells & FEELS so much better than when they strolled in.😌🥰😇

It’s safe to say that I accomplished that goal, with sweet Taco, the bulldog here. 🌮 🐾

He is another coach’s dog here in town - here’s to a great school year at SSISD for all students, staff, & parents!

130 lb Newfie mix full groom?! Okie dokie. let’s get him on the table and start with his feetsies ! 🐾

I have the muzzle on him for two reasons : #1 this was his first time here... he didn’t know me & vice versa. #2 the owners told me to muzzle him!

He actually did absolutely wonderfully for his first full groom and was the sweetest gentle giant!

Fun fact, he is from Georgia ! He was in a program where he lived on death row with the inmates, and gave them hope as they trained him; while he was a puppy. How cool.

Lastly…The mesh in the middle of the muzzle allows him to breathe and move his tongue freely! No need to worry on his behalf 💗

This sweetie is a work in progress! Getting ready for a creative competition later down the road.

They use the dogs coat as a canvas, similar to a tattoo artist creating a sleeve. Except with this, (animal friendly) dye will cover the entire body!

It’s all done by an airbrush. Very light to the touch - I would imagine it feels almost the same as when us ladies get a spray tan!
