When purchasing a horse here are some 🚩🚩🚩 to look out for “beginner safe” in my experience some of the worst horses that I’ve gotten in were labeled beginner safe, “bomb proof” my favorite thing to tell my clients bring me a bomb proof horse and I’ll get it to explode, “therapy horse” every therapy horse I’ve gotten in will make you seek out therapy not provide you with a therapeutic experience! When purchasing a horse always bring a trainer and I’m not talking about that one friend who’s trained 2 colts that she raised herself, always get a PPE done no mater the purchase price of the horse! If you’re in AZ the best vet for PPE’s is Dr Robinson with Arizona Equine she’s very thorough!
This horse I’m on was sold as beginner safe, in my opinion she’s far from it, when first brought to us she’d crow hop and kick out had a lot of refusal to do much out of a walk! On top of that she will set back while standing tied and lay down, she’s cinchy so can’t be saddled while tied, she also wasn’t taught to give to the bit! She’s poorly broke barely neck reins and didn’t know how to move off of leg!
It is such a horrible thing to get a misrepresented horse so please do yourself some due diligence and treat everything the seller is saying as a lie! Unfortunately, some people are just in this for the money, they don’t care about the safety of others or the future of that horse!
