Oatmeal Raisin is the only boy left of his cookie litter. Oatmeal’s best standout feature is that he loves to play fetch. He also had a gorgeous face with perfect ears.

Tuna’s journey is one of resilience and trust. After surviving as a stray for years, she was finally rescued in a humane trap—but her fear of humans ran deep. For months, she kept her distance, refusing touch and resisting a leash.

But thanks to the patience and dedication of our caregivers (shoutout to Dave & Sonja!), Tuna slowly began to realize that not all humans are bad. With tiny, consistent steps, she started to let her walls down.

NOW, she’s showing a newfound excitement for walks—a milestone that once seemed IMPOSSIBLE. Her journey is just beginning, but we couldn’t be prouder of how far she’s come!

Tuna was rescued by Amanda & Forrest with Zoomies Funny Farm.

Despite being an unexpected rescue, she has them to thank for her safety, and new lease on life. Their innovation is not lost on us with Tunas rescue…(Emmitt if you are familiar….came to CARA shortly after Tunas capture by Amanda and Forrest)

Tunas story is nearly getting started - stay tuned for more TUNES! 🤎 it will be some time before she is available for adoption.

We love how Sara captured her beauty in these pictures! Tuna loves the sun, so being able to walk freely in the sunshine has been amazing!

This very very good boy is needing heartworm treatment. For a dog his size the cost quickly rises but this is something we want to have done before he is officially eligible for adoption. He is not currently eligible for adoption.

He would love any help raising funds. Sampson is such a sweet lovable oaf….he deserves to live a long and happy life free of the complications heartworm disease can cause. If you can help in any way, we’d surely appreciate it!!

🚨 MURPH NEEDS HELP!! 🚨

Our amazing Murph has not been doing well. He has been losing weight despite us upping his food intake. He has also been very lethargic.

This could be many things but the vet is pretty concerned. We are doing bloodwork, X-rays, Ultrasounds, and a f***l. This is going to be quite pricy but we need to help our boy! He is so deserving! ♥️

Murph was rescued after living a life outside. He is a 6-7 year old Lab/Dane mix who is so loving and kind. Just the best boy! Please help us, help Murph! 🙏🏻

We need to raise about $600 for all of the tests.

Volunteer needed!! 🚨

A midday volunteer spot has opened up! This program is a favorite of many past and present volunteers and is definitely a favorite for our dogs. 🌸

This volunteer program only takes two hours of your time once a week for a minimum of three months. It gives our dogs much needed time outside. They always enjoy playing, cuddling, and spending time with our midday volunteers. ☀️

You must be at least eighteen years old and be able to handle a dog that weighs over sixty lbs. The flier has more info. 🩷

You can fill out a volunteer application on our website. Just make sure to select “midday” on the application. 💕

Hey there! My name is Orson and I’m wondering if you will be my Valentine? 💘

I’ve been waiting for a home for quite some time and it is making me pretty depressed. 😔 I really don’t like living in a kennel. The people here are so loving but I would really love a home where I can relax, play, and cuddle with my humans! 💕

I am such a good boy, I promise! I just want to be the only pet in the home. I would also prefer to have a nice, fenced in backyard to run and play in.
