P**t P**t was found wandering an RV resort in Alvord. This charming kitty was believed to be 8 weeks old when found. P**t P**t quickly worked their way into our hearts! Whether supervising the sanctuary or chasing sunbeams, P**t P**t reminds us that every rescue, no matter how small, has a big story to tell!

You’ve probably heard terms like “teacup pig,” “micro pig” or “nano pig,” but the truth is, there’s no such thing as a pig that stays small forever. These terms are often used to market pigs that are promised to stay small, but most grow much larger than expected.

Whether called a “royal dandie,” “pixie pig,” or “super nano,” these names are all just labels, and all pigs, no matter their size, require proper care, space, and attention. Before bringing one into your home, make sure you consider their lifelong needs.

🐽 Sanctuary Spotlight 🐽 Meet Hudson (aka Charlie), the #pig who’s as charming as he is cheesy! 🧀 Hudson joined our family on July 26, 2023 at less than a year old, and he’s been melting our hearts ever since. Hudson’s story began in an apartment complex where he was loved by his family but faced challenges. Despite their care, neighbors weren’t supportive, and the city regulations made it impossible for the family to continue keeping him. After an open and heartfelt conversation, it was clear that his previous owners wanted what was best for Charlie, and they made the difficult decision to let him stay with us so he could live a safe and happy life. Whether he’s enjoying snacks or lounging with our other pigs, Hudson brings endless joy to the sanctuary! #Pigs like Hudson are the reason why we do what we do – provide love and care for incredible animals like him! 🐷 Your support makes caring for #animals like Hudson possible! Forget landscapers—our pigs are the pros! They’ll root, dig, and aerate your yard with passion (and a healthy dose of chaos). Just don’t expect them to rake up afterward! 🐽😂

Did you know? Domesticated #pigs are surprisingly fast. Despite their stout bodies, pigs are agile and quick when they need to be. On average, domesticated pigs can reach speeds of up to 11 miles per hour!

Contrary to popular belief, #pigs can’t just eat “anything”. They should be fed high-quality pellets and pigs love fresh produce! 🍎 Apples, carrots, cucumbers, leafy greens and squash are great options to feed your pig. A healthy, balanced diet is 🔑 to keeping your #piggy happy and thriving! 🐖
