Familiar face?
We bought Mac back a month ago. He was sold last August and a month later the new owner started struggling with him. He apparently started striking at people and biting and rearing and overall becoming a nervous wreck. We didn't really have the space or the funds to buy him back but we felt bad for him so we had to get him.
He has come so far in just a few weeks. He is now very sweet on the ground and is always seeking the reward. He is coming along great under saddle although we will keep him for at least a few months to make sure he forgets all about the bad stuff so he can find the great home he deserves.
Our objective is to always put the horses first and making sure they are confident and relaxed. If we have to take our time to get them there that is fine, we are never in a rush and always extra patient with the ones that need it.
Mac will be a great horse again 💙💙💙
Unfortunately Piggy is not feeling so good today. After an emergency call to the vet we determined that it's due to the arthritis. Her legs buckled underneath her and she was dragging her nose on the ground while almost falling over. Vet prescribed 3g Bute and 20mg Dex and she's still dragging her head and twisting her neck. If she doesn't improve DMSO is the next thing. We are trying to be positive but this is not good 😢
Jamaica and Sunol the goat love each other
Fun at the water park. 100 degrees today.
Really need a kiddie pool for these fillies
Tizzy loves getting his face sprayed.
Last nap with Piggy. She leaves for her new home in Topanga tomorrow.
Nate is trying to see how annoying he can be on the TheraPlate. Standing still for 20 min is hard.
Piggy found a muddy spot for her 1st nap of the day.
Valley Spirit is looking so much sounder than two weeks ago. Overall he seems much happier and more comfortable. Thank you Liz Radley for sponsoring his rehab!
Valley Spirit out on the trail with Gen in the irons.
Here's an update on Chiron. He's doing very well and he will be put up for sale in the near future. If anyone know anyone who might be interested in a super fancy and bomb proof horse, let me know. I'd keep him for myself but I have enough show horses as it is and he deserves to have his own human. He's suitable for lower level dressage, should be able to do 3rd and possibly 4th level with conditioning and fine tuning his lateral work. He would also make a great trail horse and he jumps up to 3'.
