Meet Parker , an adorable 2 year, old, 45 lb beagle mix! He’s a perfect medium size! This affectionate boy likes to be petted, knows sit, and takes treats gently. Has lots of energy so will do best with an active family. Looking for a home with kids high school age and up. Would prefer to be the only dog.

I picked this up at an airport, looking for things to read when my iPad battery died.

I had forgotten all about being interviewed for it, so the short article and photo of me and Willie were a lovely surprise. (It came out in 2020, or, a million years ago.)

It’s actually a well-done exploration of dogs from many perspectives. It a would be a great present for new dog owners or a young teen interested in dogs ... or anyone like me looking for something great to read who loves dogs.

❤️❤️Update: ADOPTED!❤️❤️Gemma is the sweetest 10 year old boxer mix! She ended up at the shelter when her owner became seriously ill and could no longer take care of her😢
She’s a a friendly, gentle soul who walks nicely on leash, knows sit, and takes treats gently. Gets along with other calm dogs and has a nice medium energy. Would make a great walking companion.
Let’s find this sweet senior a home for the holidays!

❤️❤️Update: ADOPTED!❤️❤️Beautiful, shy boy in need of loving home!
Meet Balto, a sweet one year old, 40 lb Siberian Husky mix who is one of several huskies surrendered because of poor living conditions. He's very scared at the shelter and has not yet learned how to walk on a leash. We suspect that he was left outside in his previous home without much human interaction. Seems to love other dogs and did well in his evaluation.
Balto is looking for a loving, patient home where he will have the time he needs to learn to trust. Would do well in a home with another well balanced dog who can teach him the ropes. A family with older kids(middle school age and up) is recommended.
