Adoptions numbers for last week landed at -- SEVEN! Including our longest stay guest and asthmatic kitty, ROXY!!

Roxy has been in our system for 769 days!! 😱😱 Yes, you read that correctly. But with the help of a multitude of dedicated fosters, she received an incredibly high level of care. In fact, her most recent foster decided to adopt her -- and a really cool supportive collaboration with her previous foster ensued. So happy for everyone! 💕

Meet Polar Bear! 🐾🐱

This sweet guy is ~1.6 years of pure, snowy fluff. ❄️ Looking like a baby polar bear in every way—fluffy white coat, round face, and those big eyes that could melt glaciers! Here are some fun facts about him!

At 4.5 years old, Leonardo is a long-haired Shepherd mix with the charisma of a movie star, the independence of a cat, and the snack-hunting skills of a raccoon with a diploma.

✨ What he brings to the table (besides stolen food):

Elite jogging partner status 🏃‍♂️

A solid “good boy” resume: sit, stay, shake, lay down, come

Supreme car ride etiquette (no backseat barking here)

Big fan of outdoor lounging and indoor chill sessions

Leonardo has been adopted and returned more than once. Why? Because he’s not for amateurs. This guy needs structure, space, and someone who won’t fall for his “I make the rules now” routine. You’re not just part of the puzzle — you’re the corner pieces, the edge pieces, the middle pieces, and that one odd-shaped piece that somehow fits perfectly.

You wear many hats — p**p scooper, treat dispenser, laundry wizard, dog-walker, cat whisperer, accidental therapist, toy fixer, and, let’s be honest, professional fur magnet.

You’ve mastered the art of cleaning up mystery puddles, finding the exact squeaky toy a dog “needs,” and convincing shy kitties that humans aren’t all weird (just most of us).

Whether you’re behind the scenes folding blankets, snapping photos, or front and center helping to greet clients in the lobby or at events — you are the heartbeat of this place.

We literally could not do this without you... unless the cats unionize and take over. (And let’s face it, they’re plotting.)

THANK YOU for being the backbone, the soul, and the slightly fur-covered helper-heroes of this shelter. 🐶🐱💖

It's and Nalu is hoping someone is looking for an Easter Husky.

This social butterfly loves the people and loves the dogs -- making him the perfect buddy to take with you nearly anywhere that dogs are allowed. He walks great on-leash and enjoys walks, runs, bike rides, hikes, and pretty much any other outdoor activity. As you can see, he can also lounge and will do so on a variety of surfaces.

In his foster home, Nalu just wants to be where the people are. The more loving, rubbing, brushing, snuggling, the better. He's done well meeting dogs in and outside of the home. And several fosters have found him to be super smart and food/treat motivated -- perfect student material!

As you can probably tell, Nalu is a Husky and as you might not be able to tell, he's about three years old. For his breed, he's milder than most. However, the genes run true and he's still very active, playful, and mischievous at times!

We're starting this weekend off with some paw-sitive vibes! It's : Cat Edition! 😺

A few months ago, Muggsy and Scarlett (now Monkey and Chipmunk) were adopted together and from the sound of it, have been enjoying life with their new family including a new furry brother!

"They are doing great! Monkey and Chipmunk (aka Muggsy and Scarlett) seem quite acclimated and love their big brother. Monkey is true to his name and is a great climber and mischievous little guy. Chipmunk loves to chatter and is super sweet. She's an instigator and loves to start the tumbling matches with her brothers. We love having three cats, thank you for the addition to our home!"

This is Ganache. He's an actual angel in a dog suit. Can't convince us otherwise.

This 8-ish-year-old Chihuahua mix wakes up every morning like it's the best day of his life. Every meal is fantastic. Every human is incredible. Every dog is great. And every toy is his favorite. He's joyful, loving, and kind. We could all use a little bit of what Ganache's got.

The thing is -- this little guy's been through some stuff. Things that we wouldn't blame him for not being so happy about. The idea of "home" hasn't really been a stable place and he's bounced around a bit due to random sets of circumstances. He's lost human friends, dog friends, and places he's grown familiar with. His body is a little funny due to a spine abnormality, but does he let that get in the way of literally anything? Certainly not. He dances and wiggles through each day, with unconditional love for us all.

Ganache has been put on this earth to enrich lives and make the world a better place. And while he's likely been performing that mission for the last 8 years, even through the challenges, we'd like to set him up for the next 8 with a smoother ride...

Come meet this sweet sweet soul during Browsing Hours (Tues-Sun from 11am - 5pm). He's worth it!
