LOOKING FOR ACTIVE FOREVER HOME WITH LARGE-DOG EXPERIENCE!
Chad is my name and I’m about 4 years old. My breed is “Mixed Handsome” and I’m 72 pounds of pure love. I’m a people-oriented, well-mannered, smart and athletic guy, looking for an active home and a fenced-in yard where I can safely burn off some energy. Then when I’m all tuckered out, I enjoy some old-fashioned lap time! I’m house trained, walk well on leash, rarely bark, and love car rides - especially when they end up at the dog park since my foster parents do not have a yard.

We are presently working on introducing me to other dogs, and so far that’s going well, but we don’t yet know how I’d do in a house with another dog - we’d have to meet and, of course, proper introductions are a must. I may be overly friendly for small children, and cats and other small furry critters just look like toys to me. On the other hand, I am neutered, healthy and up to date with all vaccines!
Though not crate trained, I can be left home alone for a few hours without making a mess or shredding furnishings - your house will look just the way you left it!
My foster parents are older folks, cat people to boot, who opened their home to me when I was in need - they let me move in so I could be safe. They simply are not equipped to handle my youthful exuberance.

Our sweet Lola, patiently waiting for her treats. We went to see Lola for her annual and found on her exam that she was showing signs of pain. We left her with some arthritis medication to see if we can improve her mobility and make her more comfortable.

Did you know that animals very rarely "cry out" if they are in pain? Most of the time, the only way we can gauge pain in animals is a change in their mobility, whether that is by limping, moving slower, or just having trouble getting up and down, etc. Luckily, we have options when it comes to pain control to help improve their quality of life.

We see even more kitties than we thought we would, since we started this concierge veterinary service. It can be difficult and stressful for both the cat and their owners, to get them in a carrier and transport them to the vet.

Being a "Cat Friendly Practice" means we take extra measures to try to cater to their unique behavior and requirements as much as possible.

This is how happy rescue work makes us!
Mads was part of a cruelty case, taken into Animal Control, and on top of that, was on the euthanasia list. (The second picture is of an injury he sustained from his previous owner)

You can see from this picture just how happy and goofy he is.
Dr. Kemble has let him temporarily join her pack while he heals and undergoes heartworm treatment. He deserves a second chance at a happy and loving life.
He will be up for adoption as soon as he is cleared of heartworms!!🐕❤

Leo is quite good at blending into his surroundings. Despite his efforts, we found him. He didn't seem too bothered, as he went right back to his favorite chair to bird watch after his exam. 🐈❤

Danielle, Amanda and I want to wish everyone a Happy 4th, but please remember to keep your pets safe today! More animals go missing on July 4th than any other day of the year. Don't let this holiday turn into a tragedy. Keep them inside, provide comfort (extra attention, soothing music, etc), and use drugs if necessary!
