Sept 10–12, I officially completed orientation for the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women: Black in Business Program—and I’m beyond excited to bring everything I’ve learned back to Furbaby Bestie! ✨

Here’s what inspired me most about our Cohort 8:

🐾 314 women strong—the largest cohort yet
🐾 Representing 37 states across the U.S.
🐾 $34M+ in collective revenue generated

Special love to my Growth Group 6 sisters—you all make this journey even more powerful. And an early, heartfelt thank-you to my business advisor, Kathey Porter, for being my mirror—helping me see both the vision and the work ahead.

And to Los Angeles, CA and all the Furbaby Bestie clients who have been with me since day one—🙏🏾 thank you for believing in this dream from conception and growing alongside us.

At a time when opportunities for Black women entrepreneurs can feel limited, this program has been pure fuel. Thank you, Goldman Sachs, for pouring into our businesses and partnering with incredible leaders to build a curriculum that helps us all grow. Thank you JumpStart Inc. and NYU Stern for paving the lane of success for us all and providing the tools necessary for this journey.

People, please. Please. Get your dogs microchipped. Get them an air tag or some sort of GPS tracker and a collar that identities them and their owner. Please. There is no excuse this day and age. Don’t have them out there lost, appearing to be a stray. Please 🙏🏾

We have some heartbreaking news to share about a special cat named Tom. Tom, an 8-9 year old Maine C**n mix, has been a beloved companion to his owner for many years. His greatest joy in life has always been snuggling up close to his person and sharing quiet moments together.
Tragically, Tom’s person recently passed away, and now Tom is looking for a new place to call home. He is a gentle, affectionate cat who thrives on companionship and loves nothing more than to be near those he loves. Tom’s sweet, soulful eyes are filled with the hope of finding someone to share his life with again.
If you or someone you know is looking for a furry friend to bring warmth and comfort into your home, please consider opening your heart to Tom. He needs a caring person to snuggle on his favorite chair with and to provide him with the love and security he so deeply misses.
