The RDCBS Raleigh-Durham Caged Bird Society meeting yesterday was very informative and a lot of fun! Our panel of experts answered questions and there were discussions about Senior and special needs parrots , behavior problems and quirks, overcoming sad or horrendous rehoming situations, and establishing good relationships, habits and socialization. Our panel was well versed on birds from budgies to Hy macaws and several members brought their parrots. It is always fun to meet our friends birds and several had interesting acquisition stories. #rdcbs #ginisbirdiebread

The Raleigh-Durham Caged Bird Society 35th Bird Fair was a great success! Over 1500+ people attended. People came from NC , VA , GA! These pics were taken towards the end of the day because we were too busy earlier. I sold out by mid afternoon , went shopping for some cool toys and stuff for both Diamond and me and won a bunch of things on the Raffle too! Diamond got a lot of attention and was surprisingly friendly with both adults and especially the kids! We had a great time and let me tell you how awesome the Thank You Dinner for the Vendors and Volunteers was on Friday night. It was sponsored by members of the RDCBS and we all had a delicious dinner and had fun meeting each other! #ginisbirdiebread #rdcbs #Birdfair

Raleigh-Durham Caged Bird Society meeting today featured Ces Erdman, Truman the Amazon and Allen from Cape Fear Parrot Sanctuary. Lots of fun and interesting stories about the birds and how the sanctuary developed. Allen handles all expansion and construction of the aviaries and bldgs on the 5 acre campus. Ces Erdman clearly knows and loves all 700+ birds and wants them to live their best lives under his care! RDCBS will be planning a field trip there soon! Of course, I sent him home with a Sanctuary Gift box ( but not enough for all 700 birds) #ginisbirdiebread #rdcbs #parrotrescue #capefearparrotsanctuary
