I don't remember them, but I've been told that one of my parents must have been a Chihuahua and the other a Pug - that's how I got my curly tail, smooshed in nose, floggy ears, long legs and a barrel chest. Some people have called me a "pugahuahua" and others say "chug" but either way I'm special! Life was tough for me before I moved to Sarasota. I was living in a scary high-kill shelter in Northe
rn Florida before I found a temporary home with Kathy Allen, a very nice lady who runs Kickapoo Rescue in the Sarasota Florida area. I had a problem with "bladder stones" when Kathy found me, but she got me the help I needed. The surgery wasn't very comfortable but it was great not having those nasty "stone" things any more. When I was healthy again Kathy came with me to a special event at "Animals By Nature." Amy happened to be there with a group of people who like these feathered things called "birds." As she walked by I put on a show - wagged my curly little tail, smiled my cutest puggy smile and stood on my back legs - and I made her fall in love with me on the spot! The rest, as they say, is history. :-D
