We began our weekend with a little scare. John was moving round bales, and when he was going to dump the trailer he somehow got into a hive of bumblebees. They swarmed him and he was stung 15-20 times, maybe a few more. Living on the farm we get stung from time to time, but this was a new experience for us. As the day progressed, John because sicker and sicker and was chilling with vomiting and diarrhea. It was a pretty scary day for us. He spent much of the day yesterday in bed because he was still feeling pretty rotten. Anyone who knows John, knows that he rarely sits, let along spends a day in bed. He has to be pretty sick for that to happen. I did a lot of paperwork and the bare minimum on outside chores because I didn’t wanna leave him. It was a very scary situation for all of us, so when I was able to get him outside and let the puppies play with him a little, it was the highlight of our day.
These videos are from yesterday when we were able to come outside and let the puppies play with John and he felt well enough to sit outside for a while.
I had big plans of doing a lot of grooming and photo sessions this weekend and I’m going to try to make up for everything I didn’t get done yesterday today. I don’t know about you all but when somethings wrong with my husband, time stands still. I am truly thankful for those friends and family who knew about the situation who checked on him and me and I am thankful that he didn’t get stung anymore than he did because it could’ve been really bad.

Lexi, originally Fendi, is thriving with her pawrents who dote on her continuously. 🥰We had such a nice visit yesterday and got caught up to date on all of Lexi’s pupdates.

“There are 4 other standard poodles that live around us. But Lexi is by far the prettiest one of the pack!! She gets to go on walks and shows off for the others, or she did before our temperatures started staying over 100. I won't let Dan take her for walks now cuz the pavement would burn her feet.”
((We are so thankful for the amazing pawrents our uppies have!!✨))

“She is really good (most of the time) She never bothers anything that is not hers. We can leave shoes lying around and she won't touch them or any of the stuff left on the patio for the pool.”
✨Impressive! I can’t say that our kiddos are that well behaved. 😅

“Sometimes I have to remind her daddy that she's still a baby, because she is so big already. I guess I need to take her somewhere that has scales so I can see what she weighs.” ((We can’t wait to hear how much she weighs!))

She also said that Lexi has NEVER pooped in her house or crate. 👏 Great job, Lexi!!! We are so proud of you. 🤩
