School is right around the corner. If you want your furry friends to get some playtime while their little humans are not home during the day, I will be taking dogs for just $20/day Tues-Thurs starting September 3rd. They will get lots of playtime and it will help them adjust. Slots will fill up fast, so reach out if you want to make arrangements for your pup!

Summer has been nonstop, but I just wanted to let everyone know that the best/quickest way to contact me is always by text on my cell- 724-991-6861. Also, I am currently booking into August, so I most likely will not be able to take any more dogs in July. Please call to schedule as early as possible if you want me to watch your pet(s). Thanks!

Update: he has been rehomed.

One of my clients has a pup that needs rehomed. His name is Moose- he is neutered and I think he is around 3 years old, but I can get more information if anyone is interested. An experienced home with no other pets or small children would be best. He tends to get very excited around kids when they play.

Hello Everyone- I just want to announce some changes for the New Year. After 20 years of being as flexible and lenient as possible, I need to start enforcing some new policies: First, the rate for Summer dates (between Memorial Day and Labor day) will now be $35/day instead of $25. Second, there will be an additional $20 fee for any holiday pick ups or drop offs- this includes all major holidays. Third, there has always been a two day minimum charge for pets that spend the night, but I rarely charge it- Please be aware that I will be from now on. That means if your dog comes Friday and leaves Saturday, it will be at least $50. And finally, there will be a $20 late fee if you cannot keep your appointment. The amount may be more if you are over 30 minutes late or if you do not contact me to let me know you are running late. I do plan to be more strict with appointment times as well. When clients call I will be sure to make them aware of these changes. I appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you and your pets in 2024!
***Also, for those that plan things ahead, I will be closed May 1st-May 22nd 2025***

**Thank you to everyone for their shares- Brody got a new home today** It's been a while since this has happened to me, but I had a dog abandoned at my kennel. It is going on 2 months that I have had him. Last I heard from the owner, he was going to take him to a shelter, but has made no effort or arrangements to come and get him. Being a small facility, I need the space. If anyone is interested in meeting Brody, let me know. I'm trying to get the owner to provide me more info on him and his complete vet records, but am getting no response. I know he is a lab mix, approximately 5 years old, neutered, good with all other dogs as long as they are not aggressive towards him. Haven't tested him with cats. Text or PM if interested. He is very sweet/clingy- probably weighs around 35-40lbs
Update:owner has given permission to rehome. Says he is great with cats and kids

Today my neighbors watched someone drop a cat off by my kennel fence. There have been numerous new unaltered cats on my farm in the past year. I will be installing security cameras even though my business is closed, and anyone I get on film dumping any animals will be turned in. Please spay and neuter and be a responsible pet owner- it is never okay to drop off an animal!

As the vacation season comes to an end, we want to let everyone know that after 16 years of business, we’ve decided to close the kennel. We want to thank everyone that has trusted us to take care of their fur babies over the years. We have always enjoyed being able to love and spoil your pets while having them in our care. Unfortunately, due to health issues, my husband and I just can’t keep up with it anymore. We are going to step back to try to give ourselves some time to get better. This business takes dedication 24/7/365- every weekend, holiday and Summer we have had a full house. Hopefully everyone understands that being a small business takes a lot of hard work and that if we could continue, we would. Please know that my friend Jen DeSalvo has opened a wonderful facility that is not far from mine- Pittsburgh Paws Pet Resort on Burtner Road. Be sure to call her for any of your pet boarding needs at 724-888-7297. Thank you for your understanding- maybe someday in the future we will be able to reopen!

**Unfortunately the new home did not work out- not the dogs fault, but the lady failed to mention she rents an apartment with a 1 dog limit and her landlord said they had to go. They are back with me now and still need a loving forever home** I need help rehoming a bonded pair of pups. Taz, the jack russell, is 13 years old and Kahlua, a westie/yorkie terrier mix, is 9 years old. I plan to get medical records on both tomorrow. Their mom, who loved them and spoiled them so much, passed away unexpectedly yesterday. I want them to be placed together and am hoping there is someone who will be able to give them a place to live out their remaining years. If anyone is interested, please text me. They are currently in my kennel. Thank you!

Please call in advance to reserve your spot for your pet(s) if you have a vacation planned this summer. Space will be limited and last minute reservations can not be guaranteed. Also, I will no longer be offering daycare services. If you need daycare, please contact Pittsburgh Paws Pet Resort. I will still do house sitting for the immediate area as well. After 14 years of running my kennel and being available 24/7/365, I've decided this year I'm going to make some changes. Starting February 1st, 2018, the kennel will temporarily close and reopen May thru October.
