My Birthday is the 19th!🥳
This year I want to ask for one special birthday wish! You have all been extremely generous with donation requests in the past and we have been able to take cash and supplies to NNHS multiple times. New Nodaway Humane Society suffered a fire December 19th and has a ton of cost that insurance won't be covering.
I am in the beginning stages of collaboration with another local groomer on a larger fundraising project but for now I want to offer what we can!🐾

In the last 3 weeks I've had 4 of my regular clients cross the rainbow bridge due to old age or health problems. Some of them had been with me since the very beginning of my career. This is one of the hardest parts of this job. I grieve these losses right along with you. As groomers we work with your pets for years and build a trust and a bond. Its been hard to look at my books and have to take these names off my schedule because they've been regulars for so long. But, it's time to open those spots for other dogs to be loved on❤️
If you know of anyone looking for a groomer I have 4 new client openings for small dogs. The new clients will take over the remaining appointments already scheduled for this year. These are monthly or every other month appointments.🐾

My daughter is back in the hospital. I am asking for patience as I take time with her and focus on her healing. I will respond to messages as soon as I am able to. I'm not purposely ignoring anyone. My daughter's care is #1 right now.

With the wind overnight and new snow accumulation our road and drive have drifted back and are covered in ice and several inches of snow in places. If you have an appointment today and wish to reschedule I will be working next Saturday to fit in all of the rescheduled appointments from this week!

Current state of 169 via modot app. Our road is drifted 2-3 feet in several places. You can't differentiate the road and the ditch out this way. If you have an appt tomorrow I would recommend rescheduling. Your dogts haircut is not worth sliding off the road🐾

Bringing in the new year with bath day and peanut butter lick mats for the foster pups!♥️ Dale and Zeus will sit for photo ops😉 Someone adopt these babies! Dale is our little energy ball! He will need a home that can match his goofball energy, someone that likes to take runs would make a perfect companion for this energetic guy! He loves a good belly rub!🐾
Zeus is really coming out of his shell. He is a tank but he really is a lover. He has manners and will use them! He loves treats, bones and peanut butter he is very food motivated!🐾

Lick mats prepped for our fosters this morning!🐾 Enrichment is so important for shelter animals. Lick mats help reduce stress, increase mental stimulation and aid in oral health. Pets may express behaviors outside of their normal character when exposed to new environments, confined spaces or intense noise. Mental stimulation and stress reducers are so important for the overall well-being of shelter dogs🐾

Zeus got his Christmas today!♥️
Someone adopt this big ol hunk! He deserves a family to love him! He knows how to sit and is really good at it. He is super gentle when it's treat time, he's a foodie. He loves a good biscuit or bone. He's a sweet boy with all the humans! His only flaw is he has a serious distrust of cats and hes ready to scrap with them at any minute.. because obviously, hes the boss. Let's find him a home where he can be the attention hog like he deserves😉

My name is Calley. I'm fostering at Ol' Wash Tub while they repair the shelter. My foster mom says I'm a good girl and that I deserve a home for Christmas. There are a couple tiny humans here that control the treat bag.. I'm really fond of them so if you also have tiny humans with treats I would like that. I've also made new friends with a poodle since I got here so I think I'd like a sibling with paws if you have one of those. You should know I am a lap dog. Katie says I'm "too big" for that but shes lying. Any dog can be a lap dog if they try hard enough. I'm enjoying my time here but I think I would rather have a cozy house and family to call home🐾

Merry Christmas Eve-Eve🌲 My name is Zeus Lee but my foster mom Katie has been calling me all kinds of things like.. Mr. Big head, p***y head, big man.. I think it's because I've got a big noggin' and she thinks it is super cute. She seems like one of those crazy dog ladies but I don't argue because she gives me treats.😉 I am not a fan of the other dogs. Mostly because I like the attention to be on me. I also don't like these little cats that are here, they scare me. Real big fan of humans though.. especially the kind with treats. I'm a foodie🍗
Katie said I should ask Santa and the Facebook elves for a home this Christmas. Will you help Santa get me a home for Christmas?♥️🌲

Good Afternoon! My name is Dale. I'm looking for a warm place to call home. I am currently fostering at the Ol' Wash Tub after the shelter fire. I really enjoy belly rubs and playing and am enjoying getting the scratches from Katie. I'm also making friends with a cat named pancake while I'm here so if you had a cat I think id like them too. I'm not too good with other dogs and the small humans kinda freak me out but Katie says that's okay and I still deserve to have a loving home♥️

Hi! I'm Lucifer. I am fostering at Ol' Wash Tub after my shelter had a fire. I am not a huge fan of other dogs or cats but I sure do love humans. The tiny humans that keep giving me treats aren't too bad either.😉 I would really love a place to call home for Christmas! Unfortunately, NNHS had a fire last night. Our schedule worked out and we had open kennels to foster some pups. We currently have 4 dogs fostering. If you can in any way help NNHS they need some cat fosters or monetary donations are always needed. I will be headed to Maryville Thursday and Friday for a couple appointments and can take donations🐾♥️

After some New information was given to me regarding how long this boy had been running free I contacted New Nodaway Humane Society because it would appear he was most likely dumped. Wendy and her team graciously took in this sweet boy we picked up despite them being full. He will be safe until he finds a home! I HATE that I had to do this but with all the kittens we had dumped this week we couldn't keep him much longer. He is an absolute sweetheart and will make someone an awesome friend!♥️

My son named them, but they still can't stay😬

Someone PLEASE adopt them, they would be SO thankful! They will all have nails clipped and ears cleaned before pick up. I will also include free nail trims on them for life!
$25 rehome fee per kitten to make sure they get a loving home. This will be donated to NNHS in Maryville to lessen their burden this holiday season🌲

PSA: Say hello to dumped cats #4, #5 and #6 of this year (really the last 6 months). I really do love cats but I am getting extremely overwhelmed with the amount of dumped cats we have had. Dumped cat #3 (pancake) had kittens here and while we were lucky to find them homes that was not an easy task as there is a serious OVERPOPULATION of cats everywhere!
We are now on the hunt to find these three homes as they cannot stay here. The shelters are at capacity and I will not add to their overwhelming numbers. I will keep them warm inside the salon until we get them homes but they need to get a loving home ASAP.
I will be asking a $25 rehome fee for each kitten to insure they get a good home. That money will then be donated to the shelter so they can use it to take care of the cats in their care. Something positive has to come out of this.
