This is twelve! Fancy dinner outside for Romy tonight, as we celebrate her 12 trips around the sun! So grateful for every moment. She is slower, more stubborn, and she really loves to interrupt everyone’s sleep these days, but we would not trade a single minute. We love you, sweet old girl!! Happy 12th Birthday!!

Today sweet Romy is ELEVEN years old!!

We are celebrating the way she likes to with lots of sunshine, easy outdoor time, and…a treat that says it all, “It’s all about ME!”

Happy 11th, Birthday Girl!! We are so happy that you have circled the sun 11 times!!

We are still getting used to a new place and all the changes over the last few years, yet one thing is for sure…our new backyard is good! It keeps our hearts happy, especially Romy’s.

We have been struggling to get into routine with all the weather fluctuations as of late, but today Hilde and I made it happen! We found a cool little trail among the pine trees, AND we saw so many turtles! There were too many to even count (scroll to see some of them sunning and swimming).

We hope your Tuesday is filled with some sunshine and outdoor time too. What are you most excited to get back to this Spring?

A day late to share, and worth the celebration nonetheless…our little town apparently turns the fountain pink for Valentine’s Day. We are here for it! 💕💗💖

We haven’t been out much lately due to cold weather, rain, and wintertime laziness. Today, we got in some miles, and Hilde obliged with one photo actually looking at the camera to document the excursion. No treats involved, so we will call it a win. 🙌🏻

We were stopped by an older gentleman asking lots of Doberman questions, and we did our best in a short period of time to tell ALL the truths about Doberman ownership. We did not hold back. I hope at the end of our conversation he was discouraged from getting this breed based on name/breed/looks alone. 🤞🏻

This sweet girl lights up my life. She is one of the reasons that each day shines brightly (even the cloudy ones), so it is only suitable to dress her in EMBER…the perfect match for Romy’s glow! ❤️🧡

We are currently renovating a house, and have gotten extra IG lazy.

However, TODAY is Hilde’s 7th Birthday!!! She is celebrating with a real seat at the table (clearly annoyed that it isn’t a daily occurrence), some extra neediness due to inclement weather (hence the indoor photo), and a big cookie!

Today is Romy’s TENTH Birthday! She prefers to celebrate outside, so that is exactly what we are doing!! Today will be filled with sunbathing, grass rolls, squirrel chasing, solo time, sweets, and lamb treats from !

We got lucky rescuing her over six years ago, and while things do not always go smoothly in a two female Doberman household, we are so very grateful for this time together. Dobermans making it to double digit birthdays is something to celebrate!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our best red girl! We love you, Romy! ❤️
