Chicagoland Dog Rescue (CDR) is a 501(c)(3) shelter-less dog rescue 100% run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are in foster homes, but we do board some dogs we take in at vets when necessary.

They say I am just the right balance for playfulness and calm and nothing makes me happier than cuddling up after a day of fun! I keep my crate clean and sleep through the night with no fuss at all! Hello! My name is Saylor, and I’m a gentle girl with a heart full of love to give. While I may start out a little shy, once I feel safe, I absolutely soak up attention and affection — snuggling is one of my favorite things.

I adore other dogs and feel most comfortable with a confident pup by my side. My foster mom says I really shine when I have a furry friend to look up to and play with.

I’m housetrained, up to date on vaccines, and spayed — ready to find a forever home where I can settle in, bond deeply, and share all the love I’ve been holding onto.

Chicagoland Dog Rescue is teaming up with Sew Hop'd brewery for our very first Barktober Fest — an afternoon of fun, fundraising, and furry friends!

📍 Sew Hop’d Brewery — One Union Special Plaza, Suite 113, Huntley, IL

Enjoy craft beers, a delicious food truck, and meet some adorable adoptable dogs. We’ll also have 50/50 split-the-pot and raffle baskets.

Nettie is only 14 weeks old and she has already been through so much...

This sweet girl was picked up with an embedded collar and string that had been tied around her neck for weeks. You can see what see looked like the day she arrived at the shelter. The recent picture shows the happy and healthy puppy she is now.
