What an amazing weekend at the Celebration of the Horse and Human Relationship! put on a great event and I am honored to have been a part of it!! I am so proud of Pippa for doing her best for me, our journey and learning is ongoing, and being surrounded by such love and support makes all the difference in the world. I really enjoyed seeing old friends and making new friends too! It was such an honor to speak and share about +R and show how it has helped Pippa and I. Her first time “under the spotlight” was a success to me as she and I never lost the spotlight! ♥️ And all I can say about the belt buckle is WOW! Something I will cherish forever! (I was afraid to put it on and mess it up but did get to break it in some yesterday!) Thank you EarthWorks Mobile Veterinary Services
for making Pippa feel some pampering after the show and clinics! I was so proud of her and impressed with your ability to tune into her body and its needs!

What a great group of people and horses to be surrounded by! Can’t wait until next year!

This Sunday (the 27th) 5-7pm

Come enjoy some oysters and see Mustang Pippa and Mustang Magic the Unicorn under the spotlight! This is a unique opportunity to see Mary Miller-Jordan’s “The Magic Play” in an intimate setting! Cody will be cooking the oysters! Bring items to donate to Manna Food Bank to be taken to WNC for free admission. The items they are most in need of includes:

-Canned Fruits and Vegetables
-Canned Protein and Canned Non-Meat Protein Items (chicken, tuna and beans)
-Protein Breakfast Bars and Healthy Snacks
-Menstrual Products
-Personal Hygiene Products

I have been absent here; I have been living, I have been grieving, I have been doing my best to soak up all the moments… be there for those most important…

Highlights- Colter loved the carousel at the fair (Ga National Fair), Teddy “rode” Skip! (No pics) and sat on Clifford. Ozzie went to his first breed show- won 🥇 jr dressage suitability under the honorable Judge Connor; and competed in English, western , trail and ranch for the first time ever and did such a great job- love me some Ozzie! We found pumpkins in the Thompson Pumpkin Patch. Pippa blew another abscess in her left front hoof 😩 but is on the mend and her new tennis shoes arrive tomorrow so we can get going for CHHR 🦄. My niece Hannah Claire had her birthday here and CC was gem. My dear grandmother went to join my PawPaw ✝️, she was an amazing lady and we will miss her dearly (and I feel just saying that is not enough- she deserves so much honor. She was our Naddy and the most amazing person; I will honor her life more 💕). Maria joined me in training and is a dear mare who is enjoying experiencing people in a new, fun way; Jewel is the most beautiful and fun horse and perfecting all of her tricks.

Time is the magic ingredient to it all. Slow it down. Soak it up. 🤍

I was all smiles having the biggest fan right in the front row at Sunnyside last night 💙🥹 It was great to get in the show ring and to see some friends!

Ozzie did a fantastic job for his first time showing in the arena with other horses (he has competed in the dressage arena with his initial trainer Chris). This four year old stallion has a bright future! Look for us in Perry, Ga at Gypsy Live in October!

Today Pippa and I had visitors from 2 books clubs here at the farm! They all read Saving Nevada by and wanted to come meet us. One book club was from here in Scotland Neck, and is very special to me as my grandmother started it! She could not make it out in the heat today but we were sure to FaceTime her ♥️. The other book club came all the way from Raleigh with Cody’s Aunt Paula. Thank you all for coming!

Pippa was feeling great despite the heat and performed at her best with lots of energy and we had a fun time! 🤩 🐴

The CHHR is Nov. 16th and 17th, 2024 at the BGH Equine Facility at Lake Waccamaw, NC. You are welcome to attend one or both days. (clinics will be held both days.)

The CHHR Invitational Freestyle Show will be held Saturday, Nov. 16th, beginning at 6 pm. (if you would like to attend only the Freestyle Show, you are welcome to do that as well!)

I’m ready for the new week upon us! ♥️ After a week of a sick household, a tropical storm and everything else it seems.. bring on Sunday!

On this Sunday, I ask for Prayers for Pippa who is not feeling her best (but is much better), prayers for my grandmother who is battling her terminal illness like the strong lady she is, for my mom who has been not only caring for her but helping keep things going around here, for my husband who has been trying to keep his sanity as a farmer, and for dear friends close and far that had to face unexpected hardships this week, and anyone else who may need them.

So much to be thankful for, and to look forward to!
