Hello! As many of you know, we have been working in conjunction with a dog rescue in Hermosillo, Sonora Mexico called "Huesitos" (Little Bones). Dogs in their area face a lot of hardship and they do their best to help. Unfortunately, they are constantly facing overcrowding and a shortage of dog food, they are just surviving day to day. The rescue owner makes a trip to Phoenix, AZ approx. 1 time a month to pick up any donations. We'd like to help them gather some dog food donations whenever possible. The most affordable and largest bag we can find for sale is through Sam's club. for example, a 46 lb. bag of Dog Chow with tax costs $29.22. Can you help with a donation of a bag of dog food? If you don't have time to shop or drop off a donation, you can zelle/paypal the cost to us, just note "huesitos" on your donation and we will in turn purchase the food for them. Their next stop in Phoenix to pick up donations is this Friday, 9/5/25. If you can't make a donation this time and would like to make one for next month, that's fine- we can gather bags of dog food and hold them for the next pick-up date as well. 😊
