Paws-to-Share has been fortunate enough to be invited to present at the upcoming conference, “Health, Wellness and Joy!”, taking place Saturday, February 18, at Mt. Saint Mary’s Doheny Campus. Our sessions — yes, we have been asked to present twice!!!!!!, with the first running between 11:00 and 12:15 and the second, between 1:30 and 2:45: The sessions are entitled “The Healing Power of Pets: Petting is Believing” so if you decide to attend, please be sure to look for us on the conference schedule.

We will talk about what the research tells us about the healing power of pets, but perhaps even more importantly, and certainly more fun, we will be bringing pets and demonstrating, in real time, the truth of that research. So, if you have an interest in attending not only our session, but the number of remarkable presentations taking place at the conference, come and join us — we would love to see you all there!!!!

We have been around for four years, and our growth has been incredibly rapid, and looking at our visit requests for the upcoming year, it is clear we need as many wonderful pets — yes, that includes both dogs and cats — and pet owners who are interesting in joining; note, no previous certifications are required, as we conduct our own evaluations, as well as carrying full liability insurance so you do not have to.

While we have grown rapidly, we are just exiting start-up mode and moving into growth and expansion. We still maintain a small but nimble management team, and we operate virtually. The Role of the Territory Manager: With the booked growth for the upcoming year, we are specifically looking for Territory Managers throughout California, and experience has demonstrated that candidates who are both pet lovers, and highly knowledgeable about pet behavior, combined with an entrepreneurial spirit make the most successful additions to the team. As such, successful candidates having the following qualifications:

• Pet lovers, who are highly knowledgeable about animal behavior;
• Working within Paws-to-Share data systems to maintain information on our markets, including K12 Schools, Colleges, Universities, and Senior Facilities;
• Working within Paws-to-Share on-line CRM, Scheduling, and Accounting systems;
• Facility with the MS Office School of Products;
• Leading sales and marketing efforts within their territory;
• Logistical coordination of events within the territory
• Pet owner recruitment within the territory; and
• The self-drive to take identify, seek solutions, and create solutions to any issues they encounter—we highlight that because, as any small organization, the level of success Paws-to-Share will achieve is entirely based upon the creative, innovation and drive of those that join us.

Compensation: The successful candidate will receive an interest stake in Paws-to-Share, as well as a monthly stipend based upon cashflow; but to be clear, this position is best suited for someone with a true entrepreneurial spirit, who loves pets, and who wants to join for the long haul to establish a truly remarkable organization.

Engineering Needs: Paws-to-Share, while being a pet service company, has significant technology development needs, including the build of a calendaring/scheduling system that meets our specific needs. Further, we maintain multiple systems to manage our business, such as a CRM, Calendaring System, and Accounting System, and we would like to either merge these, or integrate feeds. Further, we require app development for us to help manage, track and log the work of our contractors (pet owners) so that we can greatly improve the efficiency of our operational processes.

Role and Attributes of Successful Candidate: The Director of Engineering will have full oversight of these solutions, but do know, as an organization moving from initial start-up to operational mode, much of the work, for the time being, will be developed in house. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, creative, self-driven, and solutions oriented. Note, we currently operate in California only, but expect national, and perhaps international expansion in the next few years. Having said that, this position is virtual, and hence, no geographic limitations are implied for this position.

Anybody out there an App developer, or know of an up-and-coming one? Paws-to-Share is wanting to upgrade the way our pet owners log their visits, so that when they arrive on site to a visit, they can access an app via their phone, through data links the app recognizing where they are at (we have already build the databases for that), then allows the owners to confirm they are there, for how long, and how many pets. So okay my nerdy/techy friends, anybody want to be part of a really exciting upgrade, and to hone their skills (and be paid of course--to be clear, limited budget, but hey, a boy can ask, right )?

Want to volunteer or get paid to work with your pet?

Paws-to-Share is looking for more dogs and handlers to join our team! We are looking for people with great dogs who want to make visits to charter high schools, colleges, and senior facilities in Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Diego County and the Fresno area.

We are a fully certified, insured and licensed organization that works with pet owners to make visits to senior facilities, offices, schools, and colleges (and we take all appropriate Covid precautions.) We do our own thorough vetting of pups, so your dog does not need to be licensed by another group. If you have the kind of pup that loves to get loved, loves to give love, who doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her/his body, and is just a sweetheart, we’d love to hear from you.
