Shake It Off!
🔔 Fact for you:
“Shake off” behavior is your dog’s response to dealing with stress. Instead of freaking out and lunging toward something scary, he shakes it off, which is a good thing. Usually, “shake offs” happen once a dog stops playing roughly with another dog, after meeting or seeing another dog, or during any human interaction.
Since dog “shake offs” are a positive way to deal with stress, they should be rewarded. When your dog shakes off, then reward them with a game of tug or something else your dog loves 😊

I’m very grateful that I have a decent amount of people in the veterinary field that I can still call friends.
Dr. Wedde over at @highlinevet allowed me to come in and do a laser treatment on my personal dog, Azul. She’s been fussing with her leg and created a lick granuloma. With these treatments, in time, they will heal the skin and get her as good as new! [PS - she got a mani/pedi too!]
Teaching your dog and/or puppy to down-stay can help drastically when your dog is visiting the vet, allowing them to come in, and treat or examine your pet and go on about the day.
The veterinarian and support staff will appreciate it more than you know.
We were in and out in about 15 minutes :)
