Public Media has been a part of my life since I was a little child. Shows like Sesame Street, a show that helps set kids up for education as well as being caring humans, is on the chopping block. Along with PBS, NPR, local public radio and tv media outlets like KEXP here in Seattle and the Bay Area in San Francisco. The house voted to pass this disgusting Rescissions Package that eliminates $1.1 billion IN ALREADY-APPROVED funding for public media. Since the House is overwhelmingly republican it passed (while close it still passed). Now we have 44 days till the senate will vote. I urge you to visit protectmypublicmedia.org to email or call your local lawmakers. Our Senators work for us, they are supposed to represent us, the people. Demand that they start doing this. So much has already been stripped away by the narcissistic dictator sitting in the highest office. Most done illegally and without a moral compass. Demand to be heard and fight for what is right. The fight is real and it is only starting because we are only 176 days into this presidency.
