Monday night recovery run. Short but about keeping muscles loose. Also made m best time. Every week I’m making strides to better times, longer consistency with my stride and ability to keep running. Everything is getting stronger which allows my self confidence to get stronger. Running allows me to clear my mind which helps with my mental health. So many stressors in life from normal to insane political instability that finding an outlet that works for you is top priority. ❤️

Still have the loaner car so split up the crew. Since Nola had a 4 mile walk and then a 4.5 mile run Sunday she got stuck in the afternoon crew. As you can see Anna Banana fully was on board with that decision 🤣🤣🐾🐶🚗🥰

Sunday Long Run 🏃‍♀️🦮♥️ 1/2 marathon training happens 4 days a week but Sunday is my long run. I increase every Sunday by 10% of previous weeks run. While I’m more focused on the distance vs my time per mile I still am striving to improve that too. This is the end of week 3 and feeling good. Tonight I was able to run more consistent w/out the need for switching to a walk. I won’t lie I love a good red light after going up hills and especially after taking the stairs and 2 hills back up from the waterfront. Still, Nola is my ride or die sidekick keeping me going and being a pacer when needed. She got to end our run with the guys at Seattle Fire Station 2 (I actually plan to be able to end our runs at the fire station on off chance they are out enjoying some fresh air). She gets loved on and I get to relax my heart rate then we do a cool down walk rest of way home (couple blocks). Never thought at 52yr old I would get into running but it does wonders for my mental health, the relationship between me and Nola, as well as overall health and wellbeing 🏃‍♀️🐶♥️🐶🚒👨‍🚒🐾🥰🙄🤣

Happy Sunday morning walk and we checked out how the Waterfront path by the SAM sculpture park was coming along. We had a good 4 mile round trip loop. New bike path is done but it is the all use path for now. Once plants and rest of upgrades are done it will be a perfect all-use paths 🏃‍♀️🚴‍♀️🦮🐾🚶‍♀️🥰
